“friendly restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We visited three times during our two week holiday. The waitresses were excellent explaining the menu and making sure everything was ok .The food is tasty and the portions are just right.I had the chicken in a chocolate sauce sounds strange but tasted good.Chicken fajitas excellent and the signature dish chilli con carne really good! A really nice restuarant with a good ambience !Discount nights are good value .

“Best Mexican I have had....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Visited this restaurant twice on my last visit to PDC. The first time was excellent, we were seen to quickly and explained the menu as we were first timers.
We then shared 2 starters and 2 main meals and a pudding. We had 4 beers between us and the bill was 60 euros. I thought this to be be bit steep.
Second time we visited the food was still great and we had been given a 15% off discount voucher as we visited on a Sunday. This made the bill a bit more manageable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definately visit again when we are in PDC in August.
Thanks to all the staff at Emma's cantina.

“Not Quite as Good as Last Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I've been to Emma's many times over the last few years and the food has always been good. This time though I went twice and both times the fillings in the chicken enchilladas and the chicken sambornes did not taste freshly cooked. My husband had a prawn enchillada and that was lovely really fresh and zingy.
The starters were as good as ever and the staff and service are still great and I would still rate it well - hopefuly it will be back to top form next time.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at Emma's last November. The frozen margaritas were great & when Scott ordered their very hot chilli they brought him a small taster portion which was great. Hoping to go back next November & Emma's will be a must stop shop!

“Real Mexican?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The menu is quite extensive but so many dishes are broadly the same, but then that is often the case with mexican food. Just because the Englishman front of house (the owner?) has a Mexican wife who does the cooking, doesn't automatically mean that the fare on offer is particularly good. It may well be authentic, but in reality it is little different from the fare served at the Mexican "styled" restaurants on the main strip. The biggest difference here is the prices. It is expensive compared to the other restaurants serving this type of food. Add to this the fact that it is way off the beaten track and I'd give it a miss.
