Business trip.....stayed at the hotel. Excellent experience. Wonderful hikes, great golf course.
Views are fantastic.........lots of fresh air!!
Buffet catered for a wide selection of enjoyable well cooked food.
Service was out of the top drawer.
Grounds, rooms et-al exceptionally well maintained.....everything works!!!

Attended a Rotary District Conference at the resort with over 290 delegates.
The food, service and accommodation were excellent and the conference facilities very good also. The views of the Drakensberg mountains are stunning and the resort is set in a very pleasant area. Our room was very comfortable with all the amenities except a bar fridge!! There is no room service available but all guests are clearly made aware of this fact. The restaurant is great value for money with a tremendous range of cuisine. The staff are very warm and friendly. Although not a golfer the resort boasts a spectacular golf course for those interested.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms are definitely warmer and cosier than first floor ones.

Great view of the mountain from a distance. We were in the 3 bedroom 3 bathroom chalet. Very nice!
But if you're a group, then beware that only 2 people can shower in any one hour because the water doesnt remain hot. Not very pleasant when you're visiting in peak winter! I am surprised that there was also only one heater for a 3 bedroom chalet. Luckily we brought our own because it really does get cold in June.
The restaurant had good food but beware vegetarians, muslims, vegans, jews...you wont have much to eat! Very strange for a big hotel in RSA to not have enough vegetarian food! Not all of us are carnivores!
The views from the chalets are gorgeous! A pleasure to wake up to those views. Not really suitable for children. i brought my 2 year old twins but they have not had anything to keep occupied, not even CeeBeeBies!
I would definitely come back despite these small niggles :-)

We stayed in the hotel on the second floor. The room was spacious with a fantastic view of the mountain. The room was very well appointed it seemed that it was recently refurbished, if not then congratulations on keeping the rooms in such excellent condition. The grounds were also well kept and plenty of activities in the vicinity if, tennis, bowls, hiking or swimming is not your thing. The spa was also wonderful and the staff skilled in their specific craft.
The buffet catered to all tastes and was enjoyable. The bar was also well stocked and staff friendly and helpful.

The unit was massive. But we arrived late at the resort, so they gave our initially booked unit away, I wander what that would of been like with the initial unit...
It was a very "hilly" type resort, not so much mountainous, not like others in Drakensburg.
We went for drinks at the bar, where the bartenders were not vrey pleasant, prices of drinks were very expensive, and since is was during the day, we asked were was the nearest bottle store, the bartender said 30 mintues away, and then out of the blue brought us the bill.. not cool. on our way out, there was a bottle store right opposite the entrance... The resort needs a heated swimming pool, as there is not much to do there...
All in all, it was a very average place, and we expected more....

We stayed in timeshare unit 46 which is close to the main hotel. The views from the unit were a little restricted by the flora but the mountains could be seen from the windows and veranda. A short 50 metre walk into open area revealed the full beautiful panorama. The unit consisted of 3 bedrooms (all en suite) with a spacious fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room area. A comfortable outside veranda with table in chairs and nice braai area completed the facilities. The resort has a magnificent golf course over undulating terrain with holes crossing gorges and water on occasion. The views from the course are wonderful. There is a small shopping centre just outside the gates which includes a small supermarket where one can obtain all essential supplies. The hotel serves excellent meals throughout the day at very reasonable prices but there are a number of eateries within close proximity if you want more options. The Falcon Ridge raptor show is a short way away and something you must experience. See Owl, Black Eagle and Falcon perform to man's command. The Eagle soared to 3000m and swooped back on command over a magnificent landscape. Magical.
The staff were very helpful and rectified some minor problems in the unit within minutes of being called which was very impressive. We would highly recommend a visit and we will be back as well.

Room Tip: The Timeshare units are well spaced and private but some closer to the golf course have better (unin...

at the prices charged, i definitely an dissapointed
poorly organised sub standard childrens activity
room tiny and cramped
towels are treated like youre gonna steal them
and always having to request replacement
no airconditioning but a noisy whistling ceiling fan
and a lopsided heater with the legs/wheels missing
single tiny shampoo/shower gel
very little entertainment and activity if you are NOT a golfer
which if it does happen ...you tend to be blocked off from asit occurs in the dining room
lounge...appealing for the fire to be lit is futile and the lounge unwelcoming
kiddies playroom is an absolute disaster

Room Tip: there are lots of better value for money accomadation not a venue id reccomend
