“Pricy but excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Excellent restaurant in one of Salto's iconic old houses. The food is excellent, bit pricy but the quality of the food and service are worth it. I strongly recommend it.

“Multisensory experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

This is a place to enjoy fully. Starting by the location of this restaurant, everything invited to intimacy. THere is a quaint square just across from it and there is a view to the river. The restaurant building dates back to the late 1800's. The interior is decorated in a minimalistic rustic style, its walls showing the original bricks, stone and dark wood crossbeams used in its construction. You breath in history as you sit there. If you prefer the open air, there are tables outside, on a wood deck, covered by huge round sunshades. It is a place to enjoy with friends, your couple or even for business, with a limited capacity of about 50 people. I have never seen kids there so it is a very relaxing experience each time. The menu is varied and original. Homemade pasta, meats, veggies. Last time I was there we ordered honey grilled eggplant and fried mozzarella sticks as appetizers. The main dishes were black panzotti with salmon filling, and pork loin in plum sauce. Our desserts were caramel cream and caramel crepes. It was all very tasty and timely served. The wine, a local merlot, was very nice but we are not connoisseurs so I can't really recommend them.
