“Nice Interior, but nothing too special.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

Had an OK lunch here, the best part of this restaurant surely was the quirky interior. The dishes, written on small chalkboards scattered all over the place, sounded very interesting (mostly), however, all of the ones we had (four different ones) were aboslutely nothing special and of just ok quality. For that, it was a little overpriced.
Also the waiter was quite obtrusive to the point of being annyoing. As we were two non french speaking persons, the menu needed translation by others, which too a little, during which the waiter asked at least three time if we wanted some wine. Finally, we decided to get half a liter (two were driving) and he started to haggle that we should take a whole. Same thing with desert, he asked after we ordered the main course, when serving the main course, when taking the empty plates and AGAIN when we asked for the check.

“Charming and a little quirky, not your bog-standard French restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2010

This is an extremely charming and friendly restaurant. The reviews that I had read on this website were in French and gave conflicting advice. As I was in a group of Englishmen we didn't deem ourselves to be as fussy as our French friends about food quality, and walked straight in.

The restaurant is not a run-of-the-mill French restaurant and they have tried hard to be original. The food was very original and imaginative but, I regret, slightly hit and miss. (More hit than miss!)

Having said this we really enjoyed our evening here. Everyone (including the other diners) was outstandingly friendly and after our meal we were encouraged to stay. We ended up spending our whole evening here and left with a handshake from the owner and a smile on our faces.
