Lodge was not cleaned, rats in bedrooms, electric short on lights, dung at reception entrance & very dirty, website outdated, no absailing, etc. Really dissapointed. Only good thing was spectacular views.

You will preferably need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The chalets nestled in the mountains are unbelievably beautiful and private. Excellent value for money. The resort deserves to do well. We stayed at Arendsnek chalet.

The magnificent setting is spoiled by the lack of information to potential Guests. Clients should be warned about the dirt road leading to the Guest Farm and the very poor state of the track leading to the accommodation units. We were left to navigate our way after dark in a vehichle with low suspension and a half hearted reference on a poorly drawn directional map. Guests should be accompanied by a member of Staff upon arrival. Frail/infirm or elderly Guests should be warned that the units are only accessible to the agile and athletic.

We found Mount Everest a perfect place to retreat to. The peace and quiet was exactly what me and my wife needed! The one thing I would improve is to provide a better braai facility! The drums in their current configuration does not work for me.

We had a wonderful hippy inspired wedding and the staff at Everest was very helpful and catered to our every need. The food was fantastic and the chef and her staff went way above what was needed of them to assist us. They also made the kids feel very welcome with the wonderful horses and friendly dogs that was so welcoming. Thank you to all the Management, staff and animals for a great wedding and stay!!!
