This really is a hidden gem. As soon as you enter the lodge, there is a real homely feeling. The main lounge has an a central fire place, somewhere I could see myself sitting in the middle of winter with a nice red and a few friends. The rooms are neat, well equipped and comfortable, but it is the view and the peace of the area the makes this destination a place to go back to. We just spent the weekend at the Lodge, which was the perfect place to relax and unwind from our busy lifestyle. The whole area seems to be under utilised, a real hidden gem, something I'm sure that the locals would like to keep that way. The beaches are amazing, some of the best in Victoria. There are wineries, galleries and farmers markets all within a short distance from the lodge. Best of all it is only an easy 2hr drive from Melbourne CBD, we will definitely go back, probably next time with friends.
