A notable landmark situated in a picturesque park with lots of places for picnics or moments of silent reflection on the cultural heritage that makes up our Canada

“Vegreville Heritage - Giant Pysanka”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

The giant egg (Pysanka - giant size Easter Egg) which is situated in a lovely park in Vegreville is a major part of this town's heritage and therefore should be of interest to see for everyone. It is always important to learn what makes up a community and the heritage of the community that resides in it. If you are passing through Vegreville make sure you stop and learn more about this great piece of history for the Ukrainian people.

“not like the giant sausage - this site is first class!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

what can I say? Queen Elizabeth dropped by for a peek. Quite wonderful. Everyone has their photo taken in front of it. Little historical note: there used to be a brick factory in the 1900's near the little campsite. You might find bits of brick there. Same brick that built some historical building in the town.
