“Good Food but Frustratingly Poor Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

I eat at this restaurant every time I'm in Lindsay and I always enjoyed great Greek food and attentive service, but the last twice I've had a youngish blonde waitress who has gone out of her way to make my experience less than enjoyable. She is unfriendly, has huge attitude, and is inflexible! I have always asked them to hold the fries and give me extra salad, and for at least 10 times there has been no problem with that, but this girl just says "no, we don't do that"!! The food is good but not good enough to put up with rotten service so I may not go back. The last time I was there I tipped 1 cent to make a point.

“Has been good in the past .. but ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Standards seem to be slipping....
We have been visiting this establishment off and on for years; the last few times have been a bit of a disappointment food wise.

The location and ambience are great.

I have had attentive servers and extremely inattentive servers that vanish after taking your order or never come back with your drink request.

The soups are always fantastic; tasty.
I have not been disappointed by the souvlaki or the fresh hummus with warmed pita.

The last few times I've been the Greek salad has been droopy, seriously overdressed and the spanakopita quite underdone ....

I have been lack to return lately; shame as Lindsay could certainly use a good non chain related dinner destination.

“Solid Place for Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Went for lunch and had the lamb Slouvaki on a pita. Cooked perfectly and very taste. Great service, reasonable prices and open air on a beautiful summers day...Perfection!

“A little slice of Greece in Lindsay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

If you love Greek food, then the drive to downtown Lindsay is worthwhile. This restaurant is not stuck in a strip mall as so many Greek places are, but located on the quaint main street of town (Kent Street). The decor is definitely Greek, and the seating can be private (booths), or social (lots of open spaces). There is also an elevated seating area that can accommodate a larger family party. Be sure to make reservations because this restaurant (although it probably seats 100 at a time) tends to be very busy, especially if there is a stage production on at the local Academy Theatre. We are never disappointed in the food or the service. The owners are very friendly and it seems like they have made an effort to retain their staff, so that you become familiar with the wait staff even if you are only in there once every few months.
In addition, the restaurant is very community minded, hosting the "100 Mile Dinner" annually which is a fundraiser for the United Way. This meal features menu items (in a buffet style) completely provided by local farmers and market gardeners. This is a well attended event every fall, so if you have any interest make sure to call the restaurant early for tickets because it sells out.
We are very proud of our little gem in downtown Lindsay, and this restaurant fits in very well with the small town ambiance we are so proud of in our home town.

“Good food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We ate here on a Saturday in late June. We enjoyed two of the special sandwiches, one being a chipotle chicken and the other a bbq pulled pork sandwich and we shared a small Greek salad. Food was hot, flavourful and not over salted as most restaurant food is. Server(s) were attentive and followed up mannerly without being in your face and just going through the motions.
