Our room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We have been traveling for the past three weeks and this has been one of the best hotel/motels that we have stayed in. The reception staff were welcoming and professional. We did have a problem with the locks on one of the doors to the rooms, this was addressed quickly and efficiently. The breakfast was as advertised, a continental breakfast, there was also an option for a warm breakfast at an extra cost, but the continental breakfast was adequate with fresh cereal, fresh fruit and a variety of breads and pastries, yoghurt and freshly brewed coffee.
The restaurant on the other hand was another story. Some items on the menu were not available, others were cooked days previously and served tepid, None of the vegetables were fresh, cooked previously and refrigerated. The wait staff were untrained one of the members of our group ordered a beer and the bottle was shoved at him without a glass being offered. Some of the "cold" drinks were unrefrigerated. Two of the meals were inedible. This restaurant is not owned or managed by the hotel and certainly brings the hotel into disrepute.

The Days Inn was a great stay. The service was really friendly. They were friendly from check in to check out. The location was great since it was located right by the highway, and the good part was we barely heard any noise. The continental breakfast was really good, with good choices that were healthy. The rooms were very spacious with very comfy beds, but the thing that could improve is the cleanliness, there was a stain on the curtain and also when you first walk in the hotel room it had a weird smell. I will return if I'm back in New Brunswick.

We arrived late at night transiting from Halifax to Quebec City. The front desk clerk was clearly embarrassed by the rack rate for the only room left in the hotel (a suite). She brought the price way down and the room was right for our family of five. Even at $175/night it was a ridiculous rate. We had just spent two nights in a suite in downtown Halifax for less, and our room in QC at the Delta was less costly.

It is clear that the nonsmoking status of the hotel is fairly recent as the room reeked of smoke. The TV is the bedroom took quite a bit of fiddling to get to work. The hot tub was gross, the tiles around it are falling off as well. I never got the sense the room was really clean.

I would not recommend this place to anyone......

Room Tip: Avoid this facility!

This chain is not one of our preferred hotel chains but we were tired from driving all day. We couldn't find any other accommodations nearby. From the outside it looked reasonable. With three kids in tow we asked for a suite or double with a roll away. We apparently got "the last room" in the hotel. The clerk embarrassingly quoted us $225 for the room. Eventually we were given a rate of approximately $175 - not completely unreasonable for a suite, generally, until we saw the room. The suite was actually two rooms with the common wall removed. It was huge but filled with the smallest furnishing you could find. I could have thrown a party for 30 in the room but they'd have to stand. The room smelled of stale smoke. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub but with no safety bar for getting in and out. Grout missing from tiles throughout. Large area of paint peeling from wall. Not particularly clean. Fortunately the beds were and we were just so tired.

The elevator can only take 5 people at a time and slow as a snail. I'd take the stairs but couldn't find them! The breakfast was a joke - cold cereal, out of juice, cups, no decaf coffee, wholesale club bulk muffins in Tupperware containers. The money we thought we were saving by getting a free breakfast went to Tim Hortons to buy the kids breakfast. We stayed at a brand new hotel in Halifax and well known upscale hotel in Quebec City on this same trip and paid the same or less for much better accommodations than theses could ever be. They really should be embarrassed.
