“I want better than this”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

As its name 1st world, I think now there're plenty of better world than the first one. The hotel did no wrong, but old. The weather was nice. There's no hair dryer in the room. The room looked like guest house. If you don't like gambling, there's nothing to do.

Have stayed here with my family, a good hotel with amazing view. but only 1 problem, the bathroom very small. But its worth the price, I can enjoy the view of genting morning from my room. The price room was not expensive, but still worth to pay.

Room Tip: Choose only a room with the view, cause the view was amazing

The "Genting Highlands" - Awesome place to be..The place is huge and it is at the top of a mountain and the weather is awesome.. Full of breeze & amid-st the clouds. The place has everything for all age groups..Outside the lobby .it is a like a shopping mall with shops for everything. The outdoor theme park, indoor theme park were closed for renovation till 2016. The casino, shopping arcades, food joints, Chinese temple, Theater performances were all good to visit. Was on a honeymoon spent 2 days here and really enjoyed the cloudy weather...Coming to the hotel.. First world..has a huge lobby but the rooms are medium... They are mid sized , We got the one with a view on a high altitude. was up to the expectations. We ate pure veg indian cuisine there for dinner & breakfast .. Food was good, It was a veg buffet for all vegetarians. Loads of indians were to be seen there.. ... The hotel is integrated with the highlands seamlessly. Overall a very nice experience

Room Tip: Higher floors with a view are the best thing here.. Also do not miss out on the casino experience ev...

Visited this place in 2009 with a group of friends.
This was my first international trip and that too to the most hyped place at that time ... The "Genting Highlands".

Let me start by describing the place in one word .. "Magnificent" :)

The place is huge and that too on top of a mountain and the weather was good too. The place has everything for all age groups and likings. It has an outdoor theme park, indoor theme park for children, casino, shopping arcades, food joints and many other things. We spent 2 days here and thoroughly enjoyed each and everything this place had to offer.

Coming back to the hotel ... The main part if this review.

First thing.. This hotel is huge and as a result the footfall is plenty at any given time. This resulted in a long check in time. Coming to the rooms ... They are small and ok ... Not up to the expectations. But since this is a budget hotel so complaints there. (Was not expensive at that time ;))
We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. But i would suggest to eat outside as you will get lot of options. As soon as you step out of the lobby .. You enter this huge place with shops and everything... The hotel is integrated with the highlands seamlessly.

Overall a very nice experience about the place but not so good at the hotel. Would suggest to look for other options if you want to spent a lot if time in the hotel, else the highlands have a lot things to do and you would want to spent time there rather than the hotel ... It all comes to preferences at the end.

Visited here again. This time stayed in a deluxe room with a view of the valley. Drawn away the curtain, the sunlight makes the room brighter. Recent refurbishing change the old CRT tv into an LCD type tv mounted on the wall. As usual, kiosk check-in was very fast. We got our room at 8 am. Room comes with safe and tea/coffee facilities with daily refill. Seen room chambermaids attending to rooms everyday. Nothing to complained about. Room is average size, bigger than most hotel rooms in hk where you have to pay 3 times more.

Room Tip: Get higher floor with window facing valley

Visited on 11 July and stayed two nights in this hotel on Tower 2 side. It is convenience to go around when staying in this hotel. Most of the attractions and shops are conjoin to this hotel.

Love the rooms. the twin beds is huge. Could sleep for two normal size person.
you can join it also.

The room have bathtub too. No aircon in room but equipped with ceiling fan. That is more than enough. You won't feel hot.

The room that we book include breakfast. Breakfast varieties is common. Hotel provide vegetarian and non-vegetarian breakfast buffet. Breakfast choices such as bread, koko crunch, fried kwetiao, nasi lemak (all of these are in non-vegetarian section). I didn't taste the vegetarian breakfast (it is Indian vegetarian anyway).

Overall satisfied with the room quality and ambiance. Suitable for couples.
