“Not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Stayed there last week for 2 nights during the year end holiday, and it was very crowded. Stayed in Tower 2 room # 8818 not too nice as located far on the back and close to the generator so very noisy especially at night.

The room is quite big rather than the Tower 1 rooms. They have safety deposit box, tea/coffee facility, hair dryer in room so very nice. They set up the twin beds as hollywood style; put the two of them together so can fit for 3 adults. Room & bathroom are clean and well maintained!

From Tower 2 to the plaza is quite a far walk, there's a closeby 24-hr 1 meter cafe selling porridge, friend rice, snacks, juices with better price than others. Everything in Genting is very pricey, you can spend at least RM 15 per meal for just a chicken rice or wantan mee, and the taste is so so. There's a better foodcourt on Level 2B, Selera Medan Kopitiam with various of foods; Chinese food; Thai food, Vegetarian food, Claypot, etc with better price than on the 1st level of First World Plaza. Try the vegetarian resto there, their fried rice is great @ RM10.

Overall is quite okay if you'd like to enjoy the cool breeze and the theme parks, don't stay more than 2 nights there, you'll get bored.

Staff don't know how to greet, information counter person (specifically work on 2.01.13 at 11.20) don't know how to guide me how to go to the world card centre.telling me to go up to 2nd floor without any specific direction, he don't even smile when I approached the counter. I travel with two toddler and they assigned my room far away from the lift and its on level 22!!. The bed spring spoiled, musky smell on the pillow..room price is ok but you are one of the famous place to visit in Malaysia, you should train your staff to be more friendly as this shows the Malaysian culture itself..
Im super Dissapointed and thank you for spoiling our holiday mood..

Hotel First World also known as 'The Resort World' in Genting, Malaysia is one of the must visit places. Aside from the hotel, it has a 'theme park' inside of the hotel itself. Anyway, the rooms are small but really nice and no need of air conditioned because of the cold temperature outside. The room can accommodate from 4-5 guests. The buffet breakfast is great! The staffs are really costumer-friendly/oriented. They're always smiling at the guests despite of hundreds of people checking in. If you're looking a place to eat in a cheapest way there's a food court, if a place to entertain with your kids there's a indoor and outdoor theme park and for 'rich people' there's also a casino. if a place to have some coffee, there's a Starbucks branch and a lot more. If you want to go in other places of Malaysia, the bus terminal is just a walk away from the hotel. I assure you that you will have fun at The Resort World Genting. Terima kasih (Thank you)! :)

Rooms are small but very comfortable , cosy and you feel at home. Staffs are great - they are smiling all the time , helpful and friendly. This is still going to be my choice for lodging if my family is returning to Genting for another holidays.

Room Tip: It would be better not to get a room facing the other building

We had a vacation as a family.I had a great stayed even though it was only for 1 night. The staff that help us at the self-check in kiosk was a great helper.

However, I am quite disappointed with their housekeeping people. My mum accidentally left her handphone before we check out on 27 Dec 2012 at around 1000Hrs. My mum only realised about her handphone one hour later when we had took the skyway down. Therefore, I dialled the number at 1120Hrs and after a few rang the call was rejected. So I can assume that the housekeeping people that cleaned my room 16631 at 1120Hrs found the handphone. My dad contacted the hotel and they said that they will contact us back if someone return it and put at lost&found. However, they contacted us at 1125hrs and said the housekeeping people had not giving back any feedback yet.Till now we receive no news. What I can say, they don't have honest staff working there.

This is largest hotel in the genting highland resort. You cannot miss the multi coloured hugh hotel as you go up the hill. It is right at the peak of this beautiful, cool mountain resort. There are alot of amenities for the old and young to have fun. The casino is at the basement and a large indoor fun park within the hotel and there is another open air fun park a short walk away from the hotel. At this hotel you can get budget hotel rates during weekday except for friday. This hotel is the weekend getaway for Singaporean and Malaysian. For the budget rate rooms you may not have a outside view, the small window is facing an airwell where your can see other guests' rooms. The hotel is cooling throughout the year and can be fairly chilly during December. This is the newest hotel among the many hotels in the genting highland group.

Room Tip: If you pay a bit more you can get a room with a view of the surrounding areas and when you open you...
