“Too Pricey. Average, All in All. But Good For Budget Travelers Who Want To Splurge on Rooms.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

I stayed here for more than 2 weeks for work purposes. The service and facilities is nothing more than what a 2 to 3 star hotel would deliver, but it's quite good for a short stay (three nights maximum. I on the other hand, had no choice).

This hotel is a safe (not the best) choice. The room rates are too expensive (considering the rather poor service and poor condition of the facilities), quite comfy, the food not that great, the service is quite good - there are indeed many rooms for improvement.

It's not a new hotel - the bed is comfy though, but don't expect any Burj Al Arab-ish designs here. Bring your own hangers because they only provide a few in the cupboard. Ironing station is available at every floor.

The toilet doesn't look great - leaking taps, the walls not sparkling clean.

The staffs are friendly and genuine to help.

The WiFi. The connection is better at the lobby. Not so on the 3rd floor.

There's a strawberry park in less than 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. There are quite a few eateries outside the hotel (Indian, Chinese, Malay) as well as some groceries. Always do a survey before buying stuff from the groceries as some price their items way too high. There is also a clinic some 2 minute-walk away.

If you want to go to the theme park, you can always go by taxi or get it (or go on a free shuttle service) to send you to the SkyWay Station and go on the Cable Car to get there. There is a bus stop not far from the clinic near the hotel.

All in all, this is a safe choice. Expensive, but in terms of its service and facilities, this is good enough for non-luxurious travelers.

Room Tip: Always ask for rooms facing towards the main road. Otherwise it's the jungle of Genting view whi...

Overall is a ok stay, but management need to improve cleanliness and maintenance and design, as it is dated in design, room still can see small crocoach...carpet dusty and under bed got left over peanut shells left by previous tenant...for paying $219 for this quality is consider expensive. Breakfast so so only , Malay dish is ok..n spageti is too salty w the sauces..
Receptionist need to learn how to smile to customers as seem like just want focus to get job done w bore face..
Tv should be flat screen at this price, small tv w little channel choices..
Towel got strange smell..
Toilet need upgrading as is out of date compare most of hotel w similar price;hand soap is looking cheap..should use better one.
Anyway is last min booking and first time stay, think just giv a try..but not so compatible w the price I pay..not to expectation. One thing good maybe is spacious that's all.
I Rather pay $150 to First world hotel w so much variety food, convenient & clean..

Room Tip: Check the room first befo u move in , make sure is clean..

I was staying here with my family due to we can not get other hotel on top of Genting Island because of peak seasons. The room was very dirty, a lot of cob webb on the ceiling. Bathroom was really scary with alot of crack and the bath curtain looks like "thousand years"never changed. Mouldy look on it. Bath towels that they gave already torn everywhere like "biten by the dog". In fact, we need to call the housekeeping twice for that towels. The Front desk staff was not really helpful on providing the information for tourist like us. They seem very busy with their stuff. The owner/ management should need to take action to - at least renovate the room. In a hotelier perspective (like me) this is a 1 star rated hotel ISO 3 star rated like they claimed.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Nearby food stall, strawberry farm and cable car.

Upon arrival, hotel looks clean. Rooms are fairly sized but bathrooms are extremely small. Some shower knobs for the hot water do not work so you are left to bask in icy cold water and the surrounding temperature doesn't help. Food service is slow, extremely, an egg sandwich took about an hour to come. Paid RM10 for wifi that doesn't work. Waste of money. Overall not a good stay.

I was here with my family, that means inclusive of my three active sons ranging from 3 to 8 years old. We stayed in a family room facing unfortunately the adjacent Mawar Apartment and not the opposite view of hillside but I have no complain since the room is quite spacious and clean. The staffs are helpful and friendly. The foods are acceptable in term of price and taste especially with the budget rating. What I like about this hotel is the location which is near Genting Skyway , I could go to Genting Theme Park without worrying about parking and the scarry downhill driving and the kids love the gondola ride.

Room Tip: Ask for front hillside view

We had two unexplained power outages on our stay at this hotel, very inconvenient. Very interesting place to gamble. Lots of things for the kids to do. While you gamble. I like how the casinos are private ,just for adults, but the kids can play all day.

This hotel is situated at Goh Tong Jaya. Its half way down from Genting Highlands. The surroundings are just small restaurants, chinese seafoods and shops. Nothing much to do there unless you have a car and all the Genting Highland hotels are full. The lobby is nice. The room is huge. Stayed in a twin room. Iron and ironing board is located outside of the room. So im not sure if u can request for one in the room. Staff are friendly. Only drawback is the toilet. Its kinda small.
