Very comfortable and attractively decorated house with lovely guest lounge and very spacious and light bedroom/bathroom. Breakfast room also very nicely presented and breakfast was well above average. Coffee and tea making available in the breakfast room at all times. Daphne was very helpful particularly when we had ferry troubles - she went to some effort to find the right numbers for us and let us use her own phone, and I noticed she was equally helpful to a couple who turned up on spec looking for accommodation - the B&B was full but Daphne phoned around a couple of other local B&Bs for them. We ate at Bates' restaurant which was excellent. On the downside, the B&B is right on the main street in Rathdrum - the front door opens onto the pavement, and there is limited parking except on the street outside. We were at the back of the building so don't know if street noise is an issue, but the house itself did seem to be noisy - beds and floors very creaky and we could hear the TV set and voices from the living accom downstairs quite clearly in our bedroom. Rathdrum itself didn't seem to be much to write home about, but we could just have been influenced by the bad weather!
