Went to this resort to teach classes for a week. It exceeded my expectations! There are three hotels. One is good, one is better, one is best. If you did not go to the second and third you would be completely satisfied with the first. There are only two things that could be improved upon. No WiFi in rooms or at poolside. (Only in lobby for a small fee.) and They need more help at the pool bar. People waiting in line to get a drink.
However thre is ALWAYS a place to eat and get drinks. Snacks, pizza,e fries served late into the night.
The resort is clean clean clean and in addition to the daily buffet ther are three specialty resturaunts. The staff aims to please. I never heard the "No" or "I dont know."
The hotel is only 20 minutes away from airport so arrival and departure times are minimal.

The staff at the iberostar star were amazing! They were so friendly and entertaining. Especially happy feet and friends :). Bartenders were great. Drinks were sugary but that's typically of all inclusives.
The rooms were nice as well as the beach. However don't go it at sunset. I got attacked by something. Try to crash the other resorts. One has a lazy river, the other beds on the beach and pool deck. Just find a towel to blend in.
the food was terrible as in most all-incs and I think this will be my last all-inc vaca I do in a while. Be prepared to have flies on ur food esp. dining at the pool side rest. which still was my favorite. They did have a beach BBQ which was great!
If ur young and into reggae and hip-hop check out Pier One on fri nite. Shuttle bus took us there. It was awesome!
We took a day trip to negril which was absolutely amazing. My recommendation: stay in negril in a guesthouse (non all inclusive) and bounce around. Jamaica is cheap. Negril beaches are amazing, check out the cliff divers & that tourist rest right there. Views r to die for. and there's plenty of greenery everywhere ;)

Just got back from a week at Montego Bay Rose Hall Beach (March 6-13, 2013) and I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about it. The resort was EXCELLENT! The food was great and the staff and Entertainment crew were AMAZING! They really go above and beyond to make your holiday fun! Thanks for an amazing holiday! We will defnitely be back!

We stayed at the Rose Hall Beach the week of February 23rd to March 2nd. We travelled with two other couples and from the moment we arrived until our departure it was a vacation made in Heaven.
The food was terrific and we had no problems other than the tenderloin at the steakhouse was a little tough, but the rib eye was great. The japanese restaurant was both entertaining and the food not too salty. The cajun reastaurant was our favourite and the roasted steak was devine.
Rooms were very clean and fresh and though the beach was obviously man made it was nice for swimming and there were always chairs available and lots of watercraft around for your use.
The staff was excellent, in particular Delbert at the lobby bar, Sedrick at the pool bar , Kadine, Smiley and Lemonhead of the entertainment staff.
The staff was very friendly yet would also not push you into activities if you said you did not want to participate.
If you get a chance try the coconut chicken at the buffett.
