“Fabulous Getaway!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2011

I was leary at the beginning since this was a family resort, but no problem. It was all good. Clean rooms, clean pool, clean restaurants, etc. and GREAT service! Be sure to go into the cigar bar with Aaron. He is GREAT and makes a great dirty banana and Jamaican Queen. Also be sure to go to the divers at the end of the beach by the pier and sign up for snorkling (capt Jack is awesome) and the ilumination lagoon is awesome (depending on the weather) but definitely worth seeing. The only downside is they only have the buffet to eat at and 3 restaurants-which need reservations. More restaurants would be nice, but the buffet is good-just got tired of eating there. We like different things. The Japanese restaurant was excellent and great entertainment with the meal. The steak house is ok. The nightly shows are pretty good. Alot of talent, but not great! The beach area is nice and alot of places to sit and relax, but a few more chairs around the pool would be nice. That is limited and people have the seats saved for them early, so can never get . I would definitely recommend this place.

Me and my family just came back from staying at the AI Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Montego bay and it was nothing short of AMAZING. It was only 15min from the airport so no long bus rides when you arrive. I have travelled to alot of places and this was by far the best resort and vacation I have ever been on. We took our 11 year old daughter and she didnt want to go home. The staff are full of energy, young, fun and make it a point to make your kids feel special. Before we left I researched this resort as well as Jamaica and could not understand some of the FEW negative comments but took a chance since it was recommended and it was superb. The food at the IS was nothing short of spectacular. The pickiest eaters would have no difficulties at all. The staff would do anything for you and there are activities all day long for adults and kids. Even though you dont even have to leave this resort as there are many things to do, we did take a tour on the bio illuminous boat ride in Trelawny (15 min shuttle from hotel) that was really cool. The beach was spectacular. The beach bbq's were fabulous. It was also written by some past travellers that guests would have no access to the other 2 neighbouring resorts. It is true about the Grand but we went over to the Suites everyday to swim and eat at the beach bbq's and no one said anything. Looking at prior posts by travellers, they have given Jamaica some harsh comments about the land and people. Honestly I dont know what they are talking about. The people are fun and warm loving people.

Our trip started off entering the hotel with drinks immediately handed to us. Following this we went to our room (which was very clean) and although we paid for a garden view, we had an incredible view of the garden, pool and ocean! The buffet food was great, and the three a la carte restaurants were fantastic!! (Japanese, steak and cajun) THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF WAS THE BEST! They had everybody constantly doing activities, if you wanted, and they even put on entertainment of their own. (Shows every night) You could join dancing on the beach, water aerobics, archery, mini putting, tennis, ping pong, bingo, soccer, volleyball.... or nothing at all! The pool was excellent and looked over towards the ocean, which was really neat. The cabanas by the pool were always gone by 7am at the latest, but there were ALWAYS extras around the beach- no matter what time! The beach is long, therefore nice to walk down and there is lots of shade. If you enjoy snorkelling there are rocks just off the shore, with plenty of fish. Many other activities on the water are also available ... The Iberostar property is blocked offf to locals and there are guards standing around, so you always feel very safe and comfortable. All of the staff are very kind!! YOU WONT REGRET GOING!!

After some trouble at the airport and check in we had a wonderful time.Tip- After you finsh with your towel for the day.Turn it into the towel shack for another one since the shack does not open until 8: am. You will have to get to the pool by 6:00 am and the beach by 8:00 am to reserve a decent chair.

We stayed at the Ibeostar Rose Hall beach from the 22/02/11 for two weeks it was my 4th time at this hotel and it never dissapoints. The staff are the friendliest i have ever had the pleasure of meeting they will always go the extra mile to help. The food is amazing and there is so much choice . The champagne is lovely as we drunk plenty over the two weeks. i took three friends two of whom have never been to Jamaica but due to the sheer brilliance of this hotel and staff we are looking to return again this year. The facilities are brilliant and there is something for everyone. The only issue we had is the big cups travelelrs take this causes quies for the pool bars and beach bars its All Inclusive so just get of your bum and go get drinks as and when you do not need to be greedy with massive barrells. There are even waitresses on the beach if you do not want to move. The entertainment team are brilliant and work so hard and the shows are very good. Make sure you do get out and about and Pier one on a Friday night is an experience and the free shutlte bus from the Hotel is great. We went to Negril to watch the sunset at Riks Cafe which was fabulous. I will be going back to this hotel for the 5th time YEH MAN !!!!!

23 of us ranging in age from 6 months to 61 years stayed at the Rose Hall Beach resort the first week of March 2011 to vacation and celebrate the wedding of my son and his fiance. We all had a fantastic time. All inclusive is the way to go. The meals and drinks were excellent and available whenever you wanted them. The rooms were a good size and comfortable but we spent very little time there since the beach and pool were so inviting. All of our regular rooms had a large balcony with a view of the ocean.
My son and his fiance were married on the beach at 4:30 Friday afternoon. The set up on the beach was so beautiful with the canopy and covered chairs with silver bows and the wedding dinner at Uncle Tony's was perfect. The wedding co-ordinator took care of everything. It was so stress free that we all could just enjoy the moment and of course the pictures are wonderful. My son and his new wife were treated like royalty with a free upgrade to a beach front room, fruit and wine upon arrival , champagne and wedding cake in their room the night of the ceremony, breakfast in bed the morning after the wedding and complimentary T-shirts. A great week. I think all of us would be delighted to return to this little bit of heaven in Jamaica where everything is "No problem" !

What can I say? From the beautiful surroundings, comfy beds, great staff -- Dean, Charlie, Lava girl, Spicy, Bubbles,, Denmark, Popcaan, Raymond, Shane, too many great ones to remember. The entertainment both day and night made every day a pleasure. I'm not sure if I could come up with any complaints, but then we were on vacation, no time to complain when there is way too much fun there and really nothing to complain about. Didn't get the Cajun restaurant, but other ala carts were great especially the Japanese. (entertaining and great food). Buffet had a lot of variety, and everything was hot and great. Lots of activities to keep you busy, or you can chill by the pool or beach. Did I mention very friendly staff who put everyone in a good mood. There is something for both young and old at this place. Overall a great experience. We've been to many locations in the caribbean, but this is one I would like to return to, because of the staff is reason enough, but everyting else, ya mon!
