“Excellent vacation!”

Iberostar grand rose hall is an excellent resort 5 star, we will be planning our next vacation here again we loved it so much. This was our second time at this resort and each time we loved it! Right from the start arriving at the resort and receiving champagne and orange juice while checking in, to having to say goodbye to our new found friends! Thanks to our butlers Rushane, Marlan and Donovan, our beach servers Kaneesha and Sonia, all the chefs, waiters, waitresses, bartenders. You all rock! Room service and housekeeping awesome job! William our good friend at the front door - we miss you!,, We visited over Christmas the only regret was not staying longer to enjoy New Year's Eve and New Year's Day there. Christmas Eve Gala was wonderful Maybe next time we will stay in an ocean view or ocean front room! But the junior suite is still awesome regardless! Thanks for making our vacation a memorable one!,,

This was me and my husband’s first trip to Montego Bay Jamaica and we will definitely be back to this property! It is everything it’s advertised and more! The property is meticulously maintained. It’s not as big as some of the other Iberostar Grand properties we have visited but it gives it a more intimate feel while offering the same amenities. Plus you have access to the two other sister properties next door if you want a change of scenery (but I don’t know why you would).

We tried all the restaurants and all were fantastic. Our favorite was the Surf and Turf with the Italian coming in a close second. Even the buffet was good, offering a wide variety of food with a different theme each night. All food was fresh, plentiful, and kept at the right temperature.
The rooms are as portrayed on their site; spacious, clean, and comfortable. Bathrooms are large with two sinks, shower, and Jacuzzi. The patio was also a good size with ample seating and a great loveseat swing. Butler service and housekeeping were outstanding and we definitely have to mention our butler Donovan who helped make the trip all that more special! He was very attentive, always greeting us with a big warm smile and ensuring we had everything we needed and more to make our vacation Grand!

We can’t say enough about the amazing staff at this resort. From the moment we arrived until we said our goodbyes everyone was friendly and eager to make sure our trip was special. For example, I had a small accident on one of our excursions spraining my ring finger and unfortunately requiring my wedding ring to be cut off. Peter, the door man, drove us to the sister property, escorted us to the jewelry store so they could assist in getting the ring off, waited for us and then took us back to our hotel. It’s just an example of the type of people that work at this resort and their genuine concern that make your visit special.

There is plenty to do on the resort, from kayaking to ping pong. The All Stars were so much fun, getting people interested and involved in activities throughout the day (bingo, volleyball, bocce, water aerobics, wine tasting, etc.) and putting on fantastic shows at night. A special shout out to Stella, Mr. Nate, Diamond and Shortcake for their energy, enthusiasm, and sense of humor!

We found there were plenty of lounge chairs and huts available on the beach, so we didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a seat. We absolutely loved Kannesha, our server on the beach, who greeted us each day with a big smile and was always there delivering cool refreshing beverages (that girl hustles!). The pool bar has a great vibe with energetic bartenders (look for Obrien who claimed he was Irish but he’s a bit of a jokester and Avian who hunted the resort for Grand Mariner to make our B52 shots and when he could locate any, he came back and made us his own special “B56 shot” which was better and became the drink trend of the week!)

So I urge you to stop thinking about coming here and actually go! You won’t be disappointed!

To Iberostar Management: As not everyone writes reviews, I think you should consider creating some sort of program that guests can write a mini review while they are at the resort and submit their favorite staff for kudos, rewards, etc. . Just a thought!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor. If you get a room on the west side, you will get a fantastic ocea...

We returned Monday the 30th from a great week in Jamaica. Our trip was fantastic, from start to finish. The Grand Hotel was warm and inviting with friendly, fantastic staff. It took a bit of time to get the room we reserved (two double beds) but Veron came through for us around 4 PM. The food was amazing! We really enjoyed the Christmas Eve gala dinner and also loved the Surf and Turf restaurants. All our room service was excellent as well, especially the New York steak and home made ice cream. :) Oh and the drinks were really good too. They make great cosmos! I loved the room layout, and we spent a lot of time enjoying our balcony.

As others have noted, the towel game is crazy here but we were on the beach by 9 AM most days so we had no trouble getting a nice spot. We didn't even bother trying by the pool as it seemed those people left their towels there overnight or something, One day there was a disgruntled guest telling off the pool concierge "I just want to know what the rules are....can we reserve a chair or not?!!" :)

We did not attend the evening shows, but did take the catamaran cruise to Margaritaville, which was an awesome time with a great crew. The snorkelling was okay, not great, there were a few parrot fish and a school of zebra fish swimming with us which was a lot of fun. If that reef is given a chance to build back up I believe it will be better in the future.

Overall I liked this resort much better than the Sandals (GR) or Couples (CSA) that I have been to in previous years. The beach was good, it is not Negril, but for the area it was absolutely acceptable. I would not hesitate to return next year.

One other note, Club Mobay VIP service....absolutely worth it. We landed at the same time as four other flights and were out of the airport and in the cab before the rest of our flight cleared immigration.

This was our second holiday at the Grand Rose Hall, and it was even better than the first!

It's a great place to go with grown children (we have a 23 year old son and 20 year old daughter). Lots of families like us, the Star Friends are so very nice and fun, and the staff is attentive, friendly and as nice as can be.

Rooms are terrific - the set up is great with doors separating the bath/closets from the sleeping area, the bathrooms are very big with separate sinks and storage for two. We love the restaurants (didn't eat dinner at the buffet except for breakfast/lunch this year), especially the Japanese and Surf & Turf restaurants. Amazed at the quality of the steaks!

My son and I did our final 4 open water certification dives and Dressel Divers on property to complete certification. Craig, Colin, and Maria are terrific!

We've never come back to the same place more than twice (and we've stayed at a few all-inclusives), but we're already planning next year's return to the Grand Rose Hall.

This is a wonderful resort on the surface. Five star rooms, pool, and food. However, we had our credit card identity stolen at the resort. Upon return to the states, we checked our cc statement and found over $500 of fraudulent charges. After contacting the hotel, they assured me that they would investigate. At first they were great in getting back to me, but then the only time they would respond is if I would contact them and then very vague answers. I recently contacted them again as to the status of their investigation and have not heard back. Not once did they offer to make it up to us. They did apologize but I feel at a resort such as this they should have offered some sort of compensation for this happening. Definitely would never go back or recommend to anyone!!!!

Room Tip: Ask to upgrade at check in....also, poolside rooms are noisy, but that is to be expected

Whilst we regret that you were a victim of such a unbearable act, we have no way of knowing whether it was one of our staff or that it even occurred as a result of staying at our hotel. We are certain that since you know nothing about those transactions, your bank can easily reverse the charges. Our Management regrets that we were not able to provide you with information about the theft. Our hotel provides a room safe to ensure the safety of our guests’ possessions, therefore the terms of our insurance do not cover the loss of guest items left outside of their safe. Just came back and must only confirm all the best references for the Grand. The hotel is perfect, suites are clean and spacious, the staff is not only professional, friendly and helpful, but also they try to suprise you everyday with something which will make your holiday even better. Butler service is 100% excellent and they always exceed your expectations - thanks Marlon (-: ! The food is everywhere very, very delicious and if you want, you can eat lobsters and shrimps all the time - they make them in 100 different ways, so you are never fed up - of course, there are all types of other food which is also very good. Bar and drinks are very good also, the staff makes friends with you and they know after few days what your preferences are - thanks to all bartenders and waiters at the pool bar, in the beach restaurant and also in the lobby, respect! Most of all, the animation staff here is just unbelievable - if you want to sleep and relax, they let you and put no pressure on you. If you want to have fun, dance, play or just have chat - they are always there for you. I would say that this animation staff was the funniest I have ever met, so good fun and easy going people and they are very good team.

We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Resort. The food was incredible especially at the Japanese Restaurant. The service- room service, on the beach, all of it- was superior. The cleanliness was the best I've ever seen (and I am very picky about cleanliness). We loved the water sports that were included. The view was breathtaking. We highly recommend this resort. We look forward to telling our friends and family about it as well as coming back in the future.
