“Only game in town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

It literally is the only game in town. Average food, average service, average beer, but has some character.

“Not great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Far too pricey for the quality and standard of food served, all seven of us were disappointed with our meals which were overcooked and bland. Lucky we had some nice wine and beers to make the experience a little more pleasant. Sorry guys, won't be back in a hurry.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

This was the only restaurant open when we were here in October. We had the fish and chips the first night. It was so good that we had it again the second night. The employees were friendly and helpful. We sat by the fire where it was warm and toasty.

“Very basic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

very very basic menu but acceptable given there re only 3 eating options in Punakaki.
Had a decent steak and a cold beer. The food is exactly a you would imaging a basic pub in the middle of no where!
Pleasant outdoor area if the weather is good
