I don't normally submit reviews, but the staff were so friendly, especially the Senora in charge, who saw that I wanted to try out my beginner Spanish and worked so hard every day to have a conversation, and to accommodate my vegetarianism (which they did brilliantly, even if they thought I had the stomach capacity of a whale!).
The rooms were spotless.
And the evening meal was fantastic value - it worked out at about £12 per person for 3 courses, plus aperitif, plus bread, plus a bottle of wine to share. And the cooking was great, the service swift.
If you want to stay in a hotel that is buzzing, this isn't for you, at least not in spring when we went - often there were just 4 or 5 rooms occupied out of 30 or so. The main road which goes by had probably one car a minute by day and none by night.
As a base for walking in the Ordesa/Monte Perdido national park, or for popping over the border into the French Neouvielle, it was fantastic.
Bielsa itself as a town is very quiet, and the choice of eateries very limited - we ate out 3 times and always had less value and less quality than in the Hotel Bielsa.
