“Only good for its French toast and souffle.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Visited Miam Miam on a weeknight when it is not a full house. They do pretty good souffles and French toast. I would however stay away from the savory offerings on the menu.
I have not tried everything on the menu, however I have tried the following: salad; miam miam house special spaghetti; lobster bisque pasta; baked curry rice.

Surprisingly disappointing, they can manage a souffle but not the simple savory items offered in the menu. The pasta was undercooked, tasteless and just plain underpar.
Lovely decor,I would only go back for the French toast and souffle, nothing else.

“A Whole New Experience on Tasting Yummy Food~”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

First of all, the food I've tasted was so far, yummy! ;D

The cafe/restaurant is quite uniquely named as Miam Miam (means "yum yum" in French).
Anyway, it's known as a mixture of French meets Japanese served dishes.
However, in my opinion, it's a mixture of style, not only French (e.g. they served soufflé, french toast) & Japanese (matcha ice-cream, drinks) food, but also the Italian (pasta) style too.

The environment looked & felt cosy. But then, it's slightly on the cramped side, because of the too many small tables and chairs placed around the area to cater for more customers/ patrons.
So far, the service was quite good and the staffs were quite attentive (they would clear away the empty used plates in order to make way for the in-coming served dishes. Otherwise, the small table couldn't capacitate the rest of the plates served.).

We had Iced Matcha Latte with Softee and I particularly liked the softee.

Then we ordered the Itallian Pasta Pescatore which came with some scallops (the size were quite small, almost like the clam size), prawns, clams, squids & mussels. The pasta was cooked al-dente! Nice taste!

As for dessert, we had a pot of baked Matcha soufflé, a lightly baked cake made with egg yolks and beaten egg whites with matcha. The interior tasted similar to the Hokkaido Cake's interior, creamy texture.

All in all, I would go back for more, to try their other dishes! Just that the prices for their food are quite on the higher end, for a newly established cafe/restaurant.

“A restaurant you must try when you are in Gurney Paragon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Their spaghetti is very well cooked and really al dente!! Sandwiches and toast are marvelous! The Soufflé Rice is extremely delicious (but you need to wait for 20 mins). The waiters and waitress there are efficient and smart. A bit expensive compared with the other food in Penang and coffee needs improvement.
