I am back from my Nainital Trip which was of two days.Nice place to get yourself relax from your hectic routine. Nainital is a place with scenaric beauty.Main attraction is of lake around which the whole city is located & the snow view point.I visited in January month(dec-feb) is called as low season there,so city was much less crowded and accomodations in hotels were also easly available.I went through train.So here's few tips for those who are planning to go Nainital for first time....
1)Delhi-Kathgodam-By train get down at Kathgodam(lasts station to reach Nainital)
2)Kathgodam-Nainital-By bus-Those who plan economic trip can travel through bus everwyhere in Nainital.Goverment buses runs from Kathgodam to Nainital every 15min starting at 6:15AM &
till 6PM & is available just outside railway station.Fare is quite cheap.Only 50 bucks for one.
By Shared car:100 bucks for one.
Various points to visit:
1)Naina devi temple(one of 51 shaktipits)
2)Nainital:Lake,Snow View point,Lovers points,etc.
For lake u can take boat ride.Fare is 100 bucks for each(yeah bit costly).
To reach snow view u can make use of ropeway.Fare 160Rs return for one person.ticket is valid upto 1:30 hrs.
2)Mukteshwar:good view of Himalayan ranges,temple,tea garden,ghodakhal temple etc..Fare of govt. bus 60 Rs.(It runs twice during day at 10Am & at 2PM)
3)Saptal,Naukuchiyatal,Bhimtal,etc.Fare 20 Rs.Frequency is quite good uptill 6:00PM.
4)Corbett National Park
One can hire car costing 1500 to 2500 bucks(Rates are for off season)depending on locations to be visited.
One can hire bike for whole costing 700 Rs...
Just note that rates all just double in high season for hotels,private cars,etc.
