“Fantastic Holiday and Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Just returned from a fabulous weeks holiday at this hotel following a wonderful weeks cruise of the Adriatic on the Thomsons Majesty cruise ship.

We thought the second week would be a chance to cut back on the lovely food choices on the cruise ship but we were kidding ourselves. The food in the restaurant was first class. We mostly ate outside which was wonderful and if you avoid siting next to the flowers you are not plagued by wasps. We tried to have dinner soon after the restaurant opened most evenings and we didn't ever have a problem getting a table outside.

There was a different themed buffet and carvery every night and the different salad were delicious. The restaurant and bar staff were very professional and very friendly and they brought your drinks to the table which saved you the trouble.

Our room was in the main hotel building and we were very happy when we went into our room. Fabulous big newly refurbished room with fridge, good hair dryer, excellent bathroom and air con. My only complaint (if I was going to complain would be the air con WAS too cold) Left it on one evening when going to bed but had to turn it off again very soon after as it was freezing but then of course it was very hot during the night. Possibly would have been better if it was on the other wall away from the bed,
We had a lovely big balcony with breath taking views over the gardens and across the bay to Corfu Town. It was wonderful watching the boats and ships every morning before going for breakfast.

We usually spent our day down at the main pool and enjoyed our lunch and a glass of wine at the pool restaurant. This was our third holiday this year in a 4 star hotel and the first time we didn't have to be up a the crack of dawn to get sun loungers or parasols. Parasols are cemented into the ground so can't be moved. We had a nightmare in Tenerife in March trying to get beds and parasols. Lots of loungers so no problems there.
Yes its a bit of a hike back up from the pool but we took a path through the bungalows which cut out all the steps and found this a bit easier.
We are aged late 60s/70 so decided not to venture down again for the evening entertainment which was held mainly at the pool bar though they did have some sort of entertainment at the main lounge bar and a couple of time the main event was held here. Though we would have liked to have seen the Three Tenors and the Greek dancing etc but were exhausted by 9.30/10.00 and just sat and relaxed in the bar or on the balcony.

There is a little shop at the entrance to the hotel selling water, papers etc which was we thought very reasonable priced.
We had dinner one night in the Asian restaurant but were just a little bit disappointed with food choices.
Took a walk round the 'resort' of Gouiva one day was very surprised at the state of the place. Not sure if this is down to the financial situation in Greece but very surprised that a previous reviewer would chose to eat out here rather than the lovely hotel food.
Only other comment I would make is about the wine and beer. Not fantastic but drinkable. If I did come back again I would probable look at the drinks menu and be prepared to pay a few euros extra for a good bottle of wine.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday at this hotel. Last time we were in Corfu was about 30 years ago and I vowed then I would never go back. Only thing that would stop me going back to this wonderful hotel was the absolute utter chaotic situation at the airport.

Room Tip: Same as other reviewers, rooms with sea views are fantastic.

Just returned from 11 nights at the Corcyra beach hotel. We had a room in the main building which was comfy, spacious and very clean. The thing I loved about this hotel is the view - absolutely stunning!!! If you do go you really need to get a sea view, you won't regret it. Most of the entertainment was down at the pool area which was quite a trek down and then back up at the end of the night, ok if you're young and fit but a bit much for us older less fit folks. The food was excellent, we always found something to our taste at every meal. Never had a problem getting a sunbed round the pools, can't say a lot about the beach as we went to have a look and didn't fancy it much. Wi Fi cost us 5 Euro for 90 mins which I had thought was included in the price. One problem I did have was that the information book in the room said that an iron was available on request. (It isn't). I ended up paying 9 Euro to have a rush job done to have our clothes ironed by the laundry to travel home in. Also beware of the lift doors closing too quickly, I came home with bruises on both arms where the lift doors closed quite heavily without allowing time to exit. Having said that though overall it was a good holiday.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room

Just returned from 1 week stay. Myselt and my partner. Fantastic holiday all round!!

Rooms - very clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Air con brilliant, sometimes to good, woke up freezing in the night! We paid extra for a sea view, well worth it. Only room for improvement would be to have bottled water in the fridge on arrival.

Food - such a variety of food. I am a fussy eater and always found something I liked! Always hot. Excellent service in the restaurant. Food by both pools was again excellent.

Pools - we preferred the lagoon pool as found the smaller pool by the beach could get quite busy. Never had a problem getting a decent sun lounger.

We loved the man made beach. No problems with the water, very refreshing to swim in. Cannot understand people complaining about the water in a review, as really how can the hotel help this!!?

Location - fabulous! Nicely spread over a large area, so not on top of each over like in most large hotels. Again how can people moan about the steep walk!!? The hotel cannot change the location!!

Our only comment for improvement would be to have wifi included in the price. €10 for 3 hours use soon added up!

Overall a fantastic holiday. We are already planning a return visit with my parents in June 2014.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for choosing to holiday at the Louis Corcyra Beach in Corfu.

It is a thrill to hear that you had a fantastic holiday, finding your rooms to be very spacious and very comfortable, especially concerning the beautiful view. Moreover, we are delighted to hear that we managed to impress you with the variety and taste of our cuisine which offered something new each day, and that you found our grounds and pool area fantastic with plentiful sunbeds. We would also like to inform you that we took the decision of excluding the internet fee from our room rate so as not to charge all guests for a service that is effectively optional. We are working hard with our Tour Operators to solve this matter and as soon as we do please rest assured that we will be more than happy to provide the service free of charge. Overall, it is a pleasure to read that you are planning to return next summer with your parents.

We hope to have the privilege of welcoming you back to the Louis Corcyra Beach in the nearest future.

Best regards,

The Management.

Just returned after a week we spent in a bungalow (R 349) right at the beach. Accommodation was great, the large room being divided with sliding doors into 2 separate bedrooms. The view you get of the bay is just awesome! Good A/C, not so good bathroom, though (needs some refurbishing).
Food was excellent, great variety and of very high quality. Drinks (though on tap) were also satisfactory (mind you, this is all inclusive after all), my daughter just loved the fruit cocktails and we liked the wine.
Service was excellent, absoultely professional and really friendly. Especially the animation team and the restaurant staff. Each night there was a different form of entertainment at each of the bars, resulting in a kind of competition and leaving you in wonder which show to choose. Great work by all of them and the girl was especially kind and friendly with all those kids of so different ages.
Having a beach bar is also a big plus! Plenty of sunbeds and shades so you do not really have to leave towels to reserve any.
Everything was clean and well-maintained. They even watered the meadows and all grass areas all night long.
We went on a boat trip with Spiros (great guy!) along the north coast and it was fabulous! All the water sports facilities provided are great, too; we did some of them and so I guess this is another must! A trip to nearby Kerkyra (the capital of the island) is something that one also must do before leaving Corfu. We were with our own car so I can't tell you the public transport options, however.
So, in my opinion, this hotel is highly recommendable for both couples and families and if you want to have a great time do not hesitate to book it!

Room Tip: Go for the first row of bungalows right at the beach and you'll get unbelievable views!

Just got back from a 11 night stay at this fabulous hotel, excellent food, pools, location etc., do not have a grumble about anything, went with family and 2 boys age 9 and 11, they loved the pools, and the entertainment and best of all they made so many friends by joining in the various games with the resort animation team, nothing was a bother for the staff, would recommend a sea view its worth it. Yes the walk up from the pool/beach could be a problem for disabled, or buggy's it has a steep incline, rooms spotless, fresh towels everyday. We have other fully inclusive holidays at other resorts in Turkey and Spain, but this one was so much more relaxed and comfortable, we would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Book a room with a sea view

We stayed there for 1 and half weeks in one of the bungalows at the beach. The accommodation was very good, the room is divided with sliding doors creating 2 bedrooms, so you do not disturb the kids while they're sleeping. it was air-conditioned and partially refurbished.

The food was excellent, great variety of high quality and considering the buffet style, it was excellent. Drinks on the other hand weren't so great, neither wine nor beer, but that's probably the downside of all inclusive.
The Service was excellent, very professional and friendly. Especially at the restaurant.

The resort has 2 pools near the beach, one for toddlers and a bigger deeper one. The third pool is at the entrance of the resort and has waterfalls and fountains, our kids loved it. However, It seems that, they were using lots of chlorine in all pools. The pools weren't especially clean. So more cleaning and less chlorine would make the experience so much better there.
For us the biggest disappointment there, was the sea and the beach area. The water isn't very clean and depending on the tides there was strange grass/ seaweed. The beach is man made and lacking in sand!! We ended up renting a car for half of the time and drove to Glyfada beach to the clean and sandy beach there.

Overall very a good resort for families, if you are looking a for relaxed holiday with great food and service it's highly recommended. But If you are looking for a beach holiday, this might be not your first choice.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for a few lines of feedback following a stay at the Louis Corcyra Beach.

It is a pleasure to hear that you were delighted by your room and appreciated the partition which allowed for two bedrooms. Additionally, we are glad that you found our dishes varied and of high quality and our lovely staff very friendly. In regards to your comment about our beverages we hope you understand that we serve local drinks as part of our All Inclusive package as is the practise in many other All Inclusive Hotels around the world. Guests do however have the option of ordering branded spirits which are charged extra. Furthermore, we would like to thank you for mentioning your opinion about our pools and the amount of chlorine in them which we duly note and will further look into. Overall, despite these small negatives, we are happy to hear that you found our hotel extremely good and that you had a pleasant holiday.

We hope that you will visit us at the Louis Corcyra Beach soon again.

Spent a week at this hotel last month following a week's cruise. Couldn't fault it (except for the climb up the hill to breakfast!). Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great food...we thought the food on the cruise was good - but this topped it. Highly recommended.
