“An exuberating experience you will never forget”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is unbelievable until you have experienced it yourself. On a 2.5 meter wide "bridge", or walkway, if you like, you can walk at your own pace thru and above the treetops. The view is spectacular, and you will be up to 30 meters above the ground (150'), with an unparalleled view of the forest and the surroundings. It's ideal for families and baby buggies, wheelchairs. There is also a Nature discovery path, and a nice display of optical phenomenon. Lots of parking, to include bus parking.

“Wonderful Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

It is not much of a hike, more of a stroll and there were plenty of elderly people and parents pushing baby carriages who made it to the top without breaking a sweat. The views from the top are truly spectacular. Trees all around and perfect little clusters of German houses. There is plenty of parking and a local bus service as well.

“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

A very impressive attraction in the Bavarian Forest. Everything was explained by signs and at the top of the construction a ranger explained us every detail about the problems in the past and the plans in the future.

A must for every visitor in the Bavarian Forest.

“Effortless climb to the tree top”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

It is claimed to be the “the longest tree top walk in the world”, I cannot confirm that but I can say that it is certainly well worth taking. Anyone can take this walk, it is accessible even with baby pushchairs. The wooden paths are wide, shaded (so very pleasant on a hot day) and are winding up gently and before you know it you reach the top of the huge cone-shape tree tower, some 40 m high, with its splendid views over the National Park.

“A walk in the woods above many others”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

We were taken there by the the aunt that we were staying with and I wasn't sure what to expect having been to other 'towers in the wood' in Germany. I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised.

We arrived late morning on a week day in the school holidays and the place was filling up quick. Lots of families, lots of everyone really! We purchased a family ticket for €19. This leads you onto a gently sloping, wide, wooden walk way. Basically, this continues to rise and rise and rise until you're walking at the same height as many of the trees in the wood.

Along the way are mini-trials, similar to those you might find in a real tree-top adventure. These, however, are aimed at the younger members of any family. Of more interest to the older members of any group are the learning stations spaced along the walkway. translations were available in English and Czech.

At the end of the walk way, just as you are getting used to the height, the 'egg' looms out of the trees and you ascend a lazy spiral around a number of trees and out onto the observation platform to wonderful views.

A couple of hours should do you unless you mooch around the visitor centre or find something to eat.
