3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

I stayed @ this hotel July of last year with my partner & are 2 children. When we got there we were given a key & set off 2 get settled . We got 2 the room , opened the door only 2 find that this was someone else's room ( thank goodness we are honest people or we cuda been way with all the ocupiers things ) we finally got the key sorted 2 find our room a small pokey room with no room 2 swing a cat . The hotel Lobey is spotless & constantly being cleaned 2 a high standard . The beds are made every day & the towels changed but unfortunately that's it the floors are neither hovered or mopped the whole week ( a disaster if uv been 2 the beach ) the hotel it's self is quite good the kids loved the flinstones theam. There are children's shows thru the day & a good kids club ( my kids didn't use ) the pool is completely freezing & can b surrounded by sand from the nxt door beach ( I did find the pool a little dirty ) we chose 2 eat in the flinstones restaurant & always found something we cud eat the food is adverage & only just warm but completely eatable . There is a hour long show every evening about 9/10 o'clock the shows are quite good but unfortunately that's the high light of the day , cala'n bosh is extremely small with nothing 2 do . On a plus side there is a little fair every evening rite beside the hotel with bouncy castles small rides etc but this isn't free so be prepared 2 spend a small fortune !!! If u are looking for a completely relaxing holiday that evolves just lying around then this is the holiday for u . Unfortunately it was to relaxing for us & we were bored to tears by day 3 :-(

We stayed week before half term in May 2012, traveling with a 3 & 4 year old. We were so glad we chose this hotel.
- All rooms have spacious sea facing, child safe & private balconies with table & chairs
- The food was amazing - huge choice, lots of freshly cooked to your requirements options of different meats, eg lamb chops, kebab squewers, steak, always had basic salads, veg, chips, pizza, rice, Spanish dishes and always had some different dishes and no expense spared such as smoked salmon. The desserts were out of this world! Good breakfast selection too. The all-inclusive is very good value for money. In the short time between the meals there are sandwich making bits always available in the restauant.
- Very push chair and wheel chair friendly, as has lots of large lifts, smooth marble floors with gentle slope options adjacent to steps.
- We went before half term, but they still had lots of day and evening children & family entertainment & activities. Such as T-shirt painting, panto, Musicals, pool activities.
- There is a good selection of shops outside the hotel
- The hotel is practically on the beach, no roads to cross. Beach is soft sand.
- There are two halves to the hotel - the themed larger family rooms are on one side, which is only open during the school holidays, but triple rooms are open on the other side all year.
- Easier to get a taxi from the airport, there are buses, but you have to change. Only taxis for 4 people available though. I think it cost us about 27 Euros and took about 30 mins.
- Pool was lovely, but not heated, but was warm when the weather was warm.
Kids were never bored - the toys we brought and DVD player never came out the bag neither did the snacks from home.
This was a such a fantastic and relaxing holiday, we felt very spoilt.

This hotel was very nice. The location is great, right on the beach and near/in the "centre", 1min away from bars and shops. The hotel itself has a shop-supermarket. The hotel is fine, clean, and almost all rooms have seaside view. The restaurant was fine, breakfasts were great, dinners a bit worse as there was very similar food every day. Pool, bars and other facilities were fine. It's a hotel for families with children, and we were there as a couple in May what was fine for the first days, but the last days of May, the hotel started to be crowded with children, so if you're planning to go there without children I would advise to go there in low season. But the location is one of the best in town.

This was the second time we have stayed here. We stayed on a half-board basis, late in the season when the hotel was very quiet. This was perfect for us as we were on the beach all day. The sea is warm, calm and clean - the beach beautiful golden sand with long walks - plenty sun-beds available on the beach and in the hotel. All the staff from the housekeeper up to the manager were extremely helpful. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned and cater for all your needs. They include a small fridge, hair dryer, pull-out washing line on the balcony and clean towels every day. For a returnable deposit you can get beach towels (saving valuable weight in your luggage). All public areas in the hotel are spotlessly clean. The entertainment on this particular week was very good - including Grease & Lion King musicals etc. We will recommend this hotel to family and friends and will stay again in the near future. Thankyou for a very enjoyable stay.

We have just returned from this hotel, we went as a family of seven from ages 60 down to six months. The hotel is very clean and the rooms spotless. An added bonus is that you have an empty fridge in the room for your own refreshments, which is lovely if you enjoy a night cap on the balcony before bed. Or want to keep milk if you take your own travel kettle to have tea or coffee first thing. The food was good, breakfast had all you would want, lunch had lovely salads etc and the evenings had good choices. Only downside is that the food is not too hot but there are microwaves spotted about so you could heat.
The beach is fabulous and right just through the gate from the pool. Very very safe for the children even babies. The sea was warmer than the pool!
It was pretty quiet in the evenings when we was there but there was ample entertainment. Didn't use the children's club but it looked really good. Plenty of things for them to do.
Son Bou itself is a lovely safe resort with restaurants and bars, you feel at home as soon as you arrive.
All the staff are great at the hotel and very helpful.
Only downside and warning!!!!! The floors in the reception and dinning rooms are as slippery as ice. I had a very bad fall at breakfast one day (I don't think I am the only person and I won't be the last) also just outside the lifts is a small step beware. I don't like to be negative as the hotel is wonderful but they do not need to polish the floors quite so much.
We will definately be going back.....minus a fall I hope.

Room Tip: ask for a pool/sea view as some balconies look over the road

Brilliant food brilliant staff brilliant weather could not have enjoyed our first trip to Menorca more. All inclusive was great value for money with drinks including tea and coffee served all the time we wanted them. Food was great as myself and my boyfriend can be very picky eaters but there was a massive selection available each day including different types of meat and fish. Very short walk to the beach which is really nice. Easy to get a sunbed. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable especially as we didn't see a first choice rep the entire time we were there. Would definately stay again.

We just wanted a quiet week in the sun and thats exactly what we got. The hotel was very clean and house keeping came in every day and did a great job. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. The all inclusive had a good selection of tasty food, however it was often a bit cold (we used the microwaves to reheat most days). The pool areas were safe and clean and we were always able to get a sun lounger and a spot near one of the pools. The location was great - right in the beach and close to local centre. We took a local bus to Mahon one day and it was a cheap and efficient service that stops practically outside the hotel. The animation team worked really hard to give everyone a good time, there were plenty of activities to get involved with if you chose to and the evening entertainment was excellent for children - they really did put lots of effort in and it showed.

All in all a great family friendly hotel, not much to do locally but the resort and the beach were friendly, safe and clean. We had a lovely time and would definitely consider going back to the same place.
