“Our Hoilday 20 Sept 20 - 4 Oct”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We recently stayed at the Diana Palace what a refreshing change. Turned up at reception to be greeted by Katerina who arranged for us to be taken to our room (112) which was just down the slope from reception (all other hotels we have stayed in this year just gave us a site map and vauge directions). From then on the holday just got better, every member of staff was so friendly and seemed happy in their work. Special thanks to Sathis, Jodi, Vasilis, Ilius and our great chef Sakis (who kindly gave me a copy of his recipe for Kleftiko and cooked it specially for us).
The whole site was very clean and our bedding was changed more often than I can remember.
The entertainment was very good. This was the first holiday in a long time when we really didn't want to come home. All in all a really relaxing holiday, so much so we hope to go back next year for our Ruby wedding anniversary. Hope to everyone next year Sandra & Mike Clifford

Returned to Diana Palace after a fantastic fortnight last year and once again we weren't disappointed. All the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel....nothing is too much trouble for any of them and they always greet you with a smile no matter what time of the night or day. We were surprised at how many of them remembered us from last year. There were a few new faces this year but again all were so polite. We must give special thanks to Vassilis (Bill) who looked after us so well every evening...the best barman we have ever encountered on any holiday. There are too many staff to mention individually but they are all great and such hard workers. The hotel is exceptionally clean in all areas again a credit to the staff. Will be coming back?? I'm sure we will.....I think it's going to be hard to top the service with a smile that you receive at Diana Palace. Love to you all - Jackie & Martin (and mum this year!)

My husband and i booked the Diana palace, because we wanted somewhere at a reasonable price as we wanted to do the local bars and resturants.
Well we weren't disapointed the rooms were really clean and spacious and we had a seaview if you stood on your tip toes. We were also over looking the pool which was nice. Our room was cleaned everyday and i mean cleaned!!!!!
The staff are excellent especially Stathais, Ilias, Gina and not forgetting Geordie. Nothing was too much trouble and they went that extra mile to make sure everything was ok. ( especially Stahias and Gina)
The only downside was the food it got very much same old same old, but having said that if you wanted something in particular you only had to ask the chef the day before and he'd do it for you....I'm glad in away it wasn't brilliant or we wouldn't of gone to other resturants.
We went to Legends which was just up the road and a must for a nice pub meal lovely atmosphere and a fantastic sunday lunch. Costas the owner was a right laugh and they did karaoke!!!
I would definatley go back, but we do like to go to different places. If you want a base to stay at with great staff and lovely accomodation, drink flowing till 11 o'clock you really couldn't pick anywhere better.
It was also our wedding anniversary while we were out there and they put a bottle of champagne in our room, which was a really nice jesture.
We don't like sitting by the pool so most days we went up to central beach. There was an aparthotel right by the beach and you only had to pay 1 euro for a mattress for your sunbed. Then at lunch we made our way back to the Diana palace.
Thanks again for a smashing holiday.

Hello cazr_12!

Thank you so much for taking the time to add your review on Diana Palace and for choosing to share your thoughts with us.

First of all we would like to thank you from the heart for your very kind words on our lovely staff and for giving a special mention to each. Your rewarding comments are very important to us and they are our motivation to love our job more and more each day. Big appreciation for that. As for Gina and Stathis all i can say is that we are very proud to have them in our family. Both of them are very hard working having a great character and personality. Well done guys!

We are very sorry to hear that our menu did not really match your needs. Actually we have a 14 day menu where each dish repeats it self every two weeks. If we have pork for example we do cook it in a different way each time always based in Greek kitchen and that gives us many options. We hope that you took the chance to talk to our chef Sakis. He is always around for special requests and always goes out of his way to make everyone happy.

It is great to see that you visited some good places in our resort. Argassi is a small friendly village surrounded by family businesses always having to share an authentic hospitality. Legends is a wonderful place with smashing view. God choice!

We all hope that we will have the chance to see you back with us in the future and next time we will do our best to meet every expectation of yours. Thank you very much for going through our response. Have a great and warm winter back home and always stay safe. Love from all at the Diana Palace..xxx

just got back today from a weeks all inc holiday, and i must say it was one of the best places i have stayed at. the staff were fantastic very friendly and cant do enough for the guests. the rooms were cleaned every day and we were allowed to stay an extra day at no cost to us as it was end of the season and it wasnt that busy. the only thing that i was dissappointed in was the weather on the last few days we had thunderstorms and rain. The food was good and had something for every one. Excellent place and wish to say to the management they have the best staff.

We are sorry to hear that you had to deal with a bad weather. I am afraid that nowadays the weather has become very unpredictable. I hope that you still had things to do and enjoy while staying with us. One thing we are able to predict though is the temperature which is still very warm and that makes us happy.

I've recently returned from this hotel after spending a week there with my mum and sister.
The hotel is in a good location in the middle of Argassi, just a short walk from the small beaches of the resort and close to Supermarket, tourist shops, bars and restauarants.
I agree with the other reviews the staff at the hotel are surberb, and make you feel very welcome, always friendly, polite and happy to help.

However the all inclusive package at the hotel is probably the worst all inclusive I've been on. The food is mediocre, and yes granted the chef does say that he'll cook something else for you if there is nothing you like - but having to cook something different twice a day for 7 days?? Don't get me wrong, there was food you could get by with for each meal, but my vegetarian sister spent a week of eating chips, rice and veg (which was frozen). That was part of the issue there were no fresh vegetables or fresh fruit. There was salad at each meal but this was always covered in flies which was most off putting. Also the food was never hot, it was usually luke warm - tepid at best. We took to eating out a couple of lunch and dinner times and can recommend both the restaurant opposite the hotel and the bakey round the corner (of the hotels rear entrance)
The drinks in the hotel are all local brands, which is expected of the for the spirits and beers, but the soft drinks were also local and quite unpleasant, with a somewhat fusty taste to them, and also were very sweet, not pleasant even when used as a mixer.

The rooms were big and spacious and keep well clean, the housekeeping was very good and the sheets and towels were changed regularly. Although I'm not convinced they deserve 4 star status,

We didn't use the pools at the hotel as they didn't look clean, and you could often see dirt and green discolouration in them, but we found a lovely pool and small beach about 10 mins walk away.

Argassi is a tourist resort and so should be avoided by those wanting something "Greek" as there are a number of theme bars and most of the shops are "seaside" shops, all selling the same thing.
But the beach at the resort although small, leads into a lovely shallow sea, perfect for kids.
Argassi is close to Zante town, and takes about 45 minutes to walk there, although this is along the main road so not ideal, but there are plenty of other ways to get there, taxi, local bus or tourist train that are all reasonably priced.
All in all, it was an enjoyable holiday and may return to the Diana Palace, but definately not on an all inclusive basis !!!

Hello MissMLD!

Thank you so much for taking the time to add your review on Diana Palace and for choosing to share your thoughts with the rest of us.

First of all we would like to say that although you faced some drawbacks while holidaying with us, we are happy that you had an enjoyable holiday and that you are positive on visiting us again in the future. We all hope that you took some good memories back at home with you.

Please accept our appreciation for your kind words on our lovely staff and for giving them a a special mention for their work and personality. That means a lot to them and it gives them a great motive to love their job more and more.

With regards to our menu at the restaurant, we are very frustrated that our 7 days menu did not succeed to meet your needs and expectation not even one day. We are doing the best we can on the dishes provided to be based on Greek and Mediterranean kitchen but also to cover the taste of a European traveler. That is why we have decided to add dishes from the international cuisine. Plus on an everyday basis, our chef Sakis is adding show cooking on our buffet, theme nights, flambé and carving.

I am very surprised to read your comments on our vegetarian options as we always make sure to have at least one vegetarian option on our menu each day. We are very sorry that our vegetable options did not match you sister’s taste. I am sure that if you have asked Sakis he would be more than glad to help you on this. He is always very open to our guests and it is always his pleasure to keep everyone happy. I am sorry if this did not happen in your case.

As for the flies, i am afraid that this is something we can not avoid. This is a phenomenon that is happening all over the island during this season. When the rains are very close or when it has been raining recently flies are everywhere. Although our hotel is very strict on the PEST control each month, i am afraid that as soon as the door opens in our restaurant you may find some flies entering the room.

With regards to our swimming pool, i would like to assure you that we hold very big scores on our health and safety inspections by the National Tourism Organisation and all major European tour operators. According to our policy we keep daily records of our swimming pools’ condition and we always make sure to have high standards as our main priority is the safety of our guests.

We are very proud to be one of the very few hotels in Zakynthos holding an ISO 9001 – 22000 quality certificate as far as our hygiene is concerned and our food safety. According to the European law, every business handling food is obliged to have an ISO 22000 hygiene certificate ( including restaurants). One thing you should feel while holidaying with us is that you are safe in every aspect.

Well, that was just a note to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to listen to your ideas and opinion. Please be sure that we will take all of your comments into serious consideration and we will do our best to improve ourselves as we think that there is always space for improvement. Thank you for going through our response and we hope that we will have second chance from you and have the pleasure to accommodate you in our hotel once again. Have a great time back home and a warm winter.

Thank you so much for the time you spend to add your feedback!

First of all I would like to thank you for your concern on me being sick in bed.
