“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

We have visited this pub fairly regularly over the last few years but I'm sorry to say our last visit was very disappointing. I ordered fresh crab salad and it arrived extremely cold - I suspect it had been frozen. It certainly had very little flavour and looked rather 'sad'. My friend's scampi also looked very 'basic' and my husband's baked camembert was ruined by being daubed with far too much rosemary, which was overpowering. The staff weren't exactly welcoming to us and seemed unconcerned whether we enjoyed our meals or not.

“The most delicious food served by real chefs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012 via mobile

Stumbled across this pub on the way back from a day trip and we cannot be more pleased with the food and service we received.

We ordered 2 portions of pan fried king prawns in chilli and garlic sauce which were the best I've ever tasted. The prawns are huge, very juicy and are served whole with plenty of sauce and a small salad. Our waitress also provided us with a dish for the unwanted shells and two small dishes of warm water to rinse our hands which was a nice touch.

We also ordered the vegetarian platter which was also delicious and would make a great centre dish for a group to share. Personally I wasn't too keen on the breaded mushrooms on the platter but there was enough on the platter and plenty of delicious other tit bits to be totally satisfied.

Overall a great trip, lovely beer garden and animal friendly. Food is delicious and we will definitely be returning even though it is a 35 minute drive for us.

“Tasty lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

Came across the Inn & Brasserie whilst hunting for a lunch stop. (Our planned stop at Broadway Tower appeared to now be a triumph of style over substance) A light and airy environment, pleasantly full but not noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our lunches arrived promptly. The meals were excellent quality 'Pub' food but not quite restaurant standard. Really enjoyed the desserts - no good for the dieters though!
