“Something for Everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Having been more than 10 times since they opened in the buffet, tapas bar & sports bar I can highly recommend Sanctuary Lakes Hotel.
The staff are lovely and there really is something for everyone.

At just under $30 the buffet is good value - they always have a tonne of prawns, woodfired pizzas and a roast with veges and gravy. The desserts aren't amazing but kids seem to enjoy scooping their own ice cream - a bit more variety would be nice.

The sports bar is very reasonable priced with all meals under $20 - it really is a sports bar so don't be surprised to find yourself in a TAB type setting.

Tapas bar open Wednesday to Saturday (I think!) with a nice selection available and comfy furniture.

Definitely the best of it's kind anywhere in the Western Suburbs.

“Friday lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Decided to give this local hotel a try for lunch. The tapas area looked nice, but was closed. It seemed our only option was the buffet. The price was fair and the food plentiful, but really just another buffet. I so would have preferred to have a menu choice for lunch. It kind of felt like a pensioners day out as 90% of the diners were over 70 easily. The dining room is big with plenty of tables, but absolutely no atmosphere it really is a feeding hall. I would love to go back to eat here and have another go, but it really looked like this was the only daytime option. Kind of put off and a little disappointed at the lack of options, but still keen to have a go at the tapas area. Overall the hotel is light and spacious with a nice modern look.

“Great variety”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

What a great eating hotel, with a sports bar, tapas bar, piano bar, pokies and a buffet restaurant. The Buffet is a very good price with so much variety and plenty of it. If you cannot find what you want you must be hard to please. If you are going at night then book ahead as the queues are out the door waiting to get in. The Buffet does not include coffee or tea in its price but at only $1 a cup its not going to break the bank. The staff are always friendly and helpful, we tend to go on a Monday as that is when it is quieter.

“Finally tried it out and was impressed with the tapas bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

I love the fact they have the different areas to suit everyone. The buffet is around $25 and although we didn't want to go, there were heaps of people there so it must be good, mainly families as kids prices were cheap. the little tapas place at the front was great. They had some really tasty plates on offer and it was quiet and modern. We went to the bar for a drink after and was glad we decided not to eat there, didn't stay there long either. The tapas area makes it all worth it! I wouldn't mind seeing it when the piano bar is open too.

“Friendly pub”

A large hotel with separate restaurants and bar areas. Clean and friendly with good cold beer on tap.
