“Great hotel in the woods near Arnhem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

If you are visiting Arnhem by car, this is a good place to use. Swimming pool, excellent breakfast, wooded location bikes for hire. Internet overpriced - should be free these day? Decor somewhat dated but clean and friendly

Room Tip: Avoid room 145 - very noisy (water running all night...)

This hotel seems to be a business hotel due to the amount of meeting rooms.
The food is not as good as in the other Bilderberg hotel a few miles to the East.
The Internet is of good quality but really overpriced. One day is what I pay for a whole month in my office.
The best part is the amount of rooms, and the great environment. Forests and a large amount of nice places to go.
So I guess your family will enjoy it, you will enjoy it due to the moderate room prices, and as business traveler it has all facilities.

Room Tip: Do not take a room above the restaurant or kitchen, it's noisy in the morning :-)

It is a relatively small hotel without frills, but pays attention to the things that matter most: excellent beds, modern rooms, clean bathrooms, good food and a very peaceful environment. We checked in on a Saturday and checked out on Monday. This is a hotel in secluded area and offers great hiking trails in the forest. No cities nearby.
Internet connection is free in the restaurant on the bottom floor, but cost 17 euro per 24 hours in your room! Obviously you should not come here to stay connected...
The service is attentive, but F&B staff could need more skills in diplomacy.
All in all, we will certainly return for another relaxing weekend.

We booked this hotel via booking.com
We are doing a driving holiday through northern Europe- but even our poor nevergetloss guide got lost...terribly lost.
This is because there are two addresses with Wolfhezerweg 17 Wolfheze in NL
The longitude & latitude points given were also incorrect- we wasted a good hour trying to find the hotel which was frustrating... There was also no telephone number provided via booking.com. Thankfully we run across so very kind local people who helped us.
I do have to put this aside- because the hotel itself is good.
It is set in a very natural lush forest.
Check in staff were very efficient.
Our room was good- good size & nicely appointed. The only 2 complaint I do have is that there is no English TV stations available not even BBC or CNN, and the bathroom was very basic - shower was in the bath with a shower curtain.
We did have dinner at the restaurant & the food was very nice.
Breakfast was good- good selection in the buffet with good healthy option too.
In summary- nice hotel in a nice natural surrounding- good value just very challenging to find.
We did advise the hotel of the difficulties we encounted finding them- they said that quite a number of guest had this problem.

This hotel is not the best but certainly not the worst Bilderberg in the area. The kitchen staff proved to be excellent in preparing great extra's for breakfast like homemade muesli and pepermint.

As we started our 3 day cycling trip from this hotel we had arranged 3 bikes; 2 for our kids and one for me. The childrens bikes were quite a challenge. They turned out to have one old bike without gears for my son, a bike without a key to unlock it for my daughter and enough choice for me. So we ended up with the mentioned bike for my son and my daughter and me went for a tandem. A nouveauté for us.

During THE following days we missed the pepermint and muesli but sometimes did curse on the bikes. Still, it was okay for the price we paid.

I'm pretty sure we got a very good price on this hotel! We booked 2 rooms, and the hotel certainly seemed like it was worth more than what we paid for our 2 nights. It's a beautiful hotel in a wooded area. Close driving range to many sites around the Arnhem area. Fabulous buffet breakfast! Helpful staff. We enjoyed the pool, though it's all 5' deep so wasn't really suitable for our small kids or short people! We were very happy with our stay!

Avoid standard room, they're small, have no fridge/mini bar or safety box. Breakfast was excellent, and conveniently served till 11.00 in the weekend. The hotel is clean, slightly outdated.
Good place to visit National park De Hoge Veluwe and many WWII memorial sites.
