A wonderful little hideaway tucked in on the side of a hill. Surrounded by gardens and farmland. Mornings are beautiful with the mists showering down the hillsides. Birds galore.

Restaurant, bar are excellent. Good local fare. Tourist buffets are what you would expect. Good, simple food. A little bland, but designed to keep the tourist healthy and full.

Room tip: Loclal dogs provide a nightly choir. Earplugs can be useful.

We booked this hotel only for 1 day during our return trip from North Sikkim

It is a place worth staying to rejuvnate and sleep in peace after a tiring journey. It is far from the madening crowd of city and staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is located near Rumtek Monestry.

We were tired, so we requested hotel people to make simple food which they made as per our request since we are strictly vegetarian. Food prepared was very nice.

Staff was very helpful and active.

Dear Guest
We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the scenic martam village from the resort. We highly recommend to our guest to at least spend 2 nights in martam in order to absorb the radiance and the beauty of the village. For travellers seeking adventure we arrange English speaking guides who take the guests on short to long hikes depending on ones preferences. With the neighbouring fambongla sanctuary one can see a varied flora and fauna of the region. The village it self has a lot to offer. One can see the village lifestyle and partake in activities like soeing of paddy and harvest of the same during season time. Or go to a neighbouring dairy farm and learn how to milk cows.
For those feeling spiritual we organise meditation classes conducted by certified instructors primarily monks from the close by Rumtek monastary.
Martam village resort has a lot more to offer.
Thank you again for taking out time to give us your feedback.

Remote and few frills, this is a good place to visit in the spring or summer, but would probably be too cold in the winter. It's suitable for adventure travelers who want to get away from it all and have some peaceful time with nature and a village.
