“New and modern at a fair price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2011

We can't comment on the location, as we had a car (free parking at the hotel) and were visiting a friend who lived a mile away in Ijsselstein. We weren't there for the local tourist sights, but Ijsselstein is a very nice little village to visit. This was the best Accor owned hotel we stayed at of about 5 we stayed at on a 3 week trip. The others (Ibis and Novotel) were all very nice, but this one had a super nice decor ultra modern room that all seemed brand new, and very ergonomically designed. Also, much roomier that the Ibis hotels, with a mini/bar fridge that had room for some of our own drinks and cheese. Great bathroom, comfy bed, reading lights and night stands, and a nice work desk for a laptop, and plenty of plugs. Would stay here again if we ever happen to be in this area. Wifi is only free in lobby area, with a voucher for 1 hour. However, found it works in the room, also. One can ask for another voucher when the hour is used up. They should just make it free for all the trouble they have to go through to use this system, which we found the same at severak other Accor hotels.

The hotel looks very new and the rooms are very spacious and modern. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Location is a bit down, not many things in the area and a bit far from the train station.

Stayed here 2 nights to be close to the hospital which is rather close. The service was very friendly and the rooms are newly decorated and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good and service was fast. Would stay here again but for business-purposes only since the hotel isn't located very central.

Room Tip: Ask for a quite room on the non-street side of the hotel (since it's close to a hospital you get...

I've been staying at this hotel for the last three weeks and will be here for many more. I find the hotel to be a good no-nonsense establishment. The rooms are good, clean and fresh. The bar has a decent range of beers, wines and some Whisk(e)ys. The food is fine though I don't see me being too enamoured with it after a couple of weeks. It's decent hotel-fare.

As I get picked up and dropped every day at the hotel I can't comment on the possibilities of getting to and from the hotel.

The hotel has an excellent health and fitness facility. I have only seen it from a distance as I prefer to "work out" in the bar.

Service is very friendly though a tad too relaxed for my taste. I'm not much for waiting for my beer. :-)
