“a week was enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

It was fairly clean, reception only open limited times, staff not very friendly. Aparment was large, no microwave or tv unless you paid to hire one. Shower not good had to run around to get wet and then wait an hour so the second person could get a hot shower. Restaurante on site not open. Doors were difficult to unlock. It served as a base for 1 week. Pool nice.

Room Tip: A high room

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Kitchen, living room, bedroom, two balconies. Within 8 days of the harvest was not. No air-conditioning and fan. It was hot, we slept with the outdoor balcony. We were not lucky, one floor below lived much smoking couple, they were smoking on the balcony at night, we could not sleep well. Smoking should be banned in all areas, as is done in decent hotels. The lovely uncrowded beach was 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment, or less if you walk down many steps. Near a small supermarket. There is always a free parking place close to home.

Me and my boyfriend visited the St George Apartments last June, and having read the reviews I wasn't expecting the best. But I was more than pleasantly surprised, while its not the ritz for around £250 each for a week we did pretty damn well and I could find nothing to complain about. The pool area was clean, tidy and well maintained and we had our pick of sunbeds when we eventually strolled down at 10am or later. The pool bar was good value for money and the lunches were tasty. Our room was split over 2 levels with a balcony and though there was no air conditioning you could rent a fan for only round 10 euros for the week. It had everything we needed and was cleaned well regularly. No there aren't televisions in the rooms but if you're going on holiday to watch tv then you've got much bigger issues. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the excursions were brilliant and reasonably priced. The local area is fantastic!! We are in our early 20's and never struggled to find somewhere to go in the evenings for some drinks or food. Watermelon and Chill out were particular favourites and I would gladly go back to the area as well the apartments!

Went for 10 days 6th - 16th November 2012. First impression was ok, dirty doors, and parts need a lick of paint. As soon as this was pointed to the staff it was cleaned. Reception is open 9am - 2pm then 4pm - 9pm. There is FREE wifi in reception. The pool was big enough and nice to lounge around, It was 28 degrees but feel the pool could be better heated as was a little cold. The pool bar was open all day every day, & at £1.50 a pint cant complain.

Bad point no TV as standard as this must be hired. & If you dont mind a hard bed or I suggest you as reception for some blankets ha

I must say its well located to Las Vistas Beech (10 min walk) down the hill of course.

At night its a very nice walk to Las Americas around 25 mins.

Overall VERY GOOD HOLIDAY.

Room Tip: We had room 101 and was nice and quite and on same level as pool.

Can't see what all the bad reviews are doing on here about this basic (you get what you pay for in life!) apartments. Just returned home after 10 days at Saint George in los Cristianos, facilities were exactly as stated in brochure - hill to apartments was gentle slope, reception was open when stated as was pool bar. Clean, well furnished, large two bedroom apartment with ample storage, fridge space, three balconies with airers on each and table and chairs. Would go back and all five of us including three teenagers had a lovely holiday here.

Just returned from a lovely holiday at St George appartments. Was apprehensive after reading mixed reviews so thought I would write a completely honest one.

Firstly, this HUGE hill people keep mentioning is actually a small slope and I feel it is not even worth worrying about!

The hotel/appartments themselves were spacious and resonably clean. The cleaners came 5 times a week which was fine but I'm sure our bedding wasn't changed at all in our 10 day stay.

the bathroom was small but fine for just us 2 but only a VERY small water tank so had to wait an hour between us showering either that or one of us would have to have a cold shower! Not too much of a problem but unsure how anyone would cope if it was a group of 4 as the appartment says this room is suitable for 4 adults!

The reception staff were often not available and not overly helpful. On arrival we found we had 2 single beds in our room, as a couple in our 20s we expected it to be a double bed. We asked reception is we could change rooms or get a double bed and were told there were none available. In October, the hotel was VERY quiet so I am unsure why they told us this was not possible.

the pool area was lovely, especially as we were often the only ones there!

the location of this hotel is fab, away enough that it is quiet but close to so many lovely bars and resturants and just a short walk from the busy town of Playa Las America.

overall a fab holiday but wouldn't stay in this appartment again.

Just back from two weeks in the Saint George in Los Christianos. 1st impressions not good but then maybe we should have been more specific about our needs.
1st 1 bed apartment on 5th floor (503) with nightmare stairs up to the sleeping area - had visions of either of us falling down and breaking our necks!!!. Staff (Michelle) very helpful and moved us the next day (220) and again on request to a 3rd (128) 1 bed apartment on 1st level nearer the pool as the 2nd one was very hot and noisy as it was near the main road.
Once settled we were quite happy.
No air con or TV and decor a bit outdated but overall very clean and all basic needs met. Towels changed nearly every day but sheets not changed but then we had used 3 different rooms in the 1st 3 days. Location is close to the beach and local restaurants but you do need to be fairly fit to get up and down some fairly steep hills. overall cheap and cheerful!
