Just returned from a week at this hotel/appartment (not sure what to class it as) We booked privately and so we by-passed the reception as we collected keys from the Airport (bit weird!)
We stayed in the Amarillo (I think??) block. We had room 19 which was on the 3rd floor. Bit of a climb with suitcases as no lift (couple in our late 20's and inlaws)
Room wasnt bad. Typically tiles in white everywhere. It was a privately owned appt (most of the rooms here are) It was a 2bed appt. 1 roomo downstairs and 1 room upstairs with a balcony. The spiral staircase was a bit of a pain as quite thin so getting suitcases up/down was a bit of a squeeze. Beds were dated and not the best (saw back each morning). Kitchen was pretty basic - only used the sink and fridge as so cheap to eat out. Kitchen was very small & thin and was part of the walk-through from the front door to the lounge area. Had an oven (but didnt use)
Lounge was basic old leather sofas. TV was very old (I know you shouldnt go for TV, but always nice to have). Old-style TV. Had a freeview box but didnt work so had to manually tune the TV and gave us standard english 1-5 channels. Had 2 balconies. One from lounge and 1 upstairs bedroom. Both could fit a couple of sun loungers on. Not the best views (we didnt have a pool view room) For some reason, the outside area (balcony) would always smell of badly fried food...presume from the english pubs around??? so we didnt use the (old) included washing machine as the clothes would smell if we left them outside to dry.
Pool - 2 pools around the hotel. Good sizes. They were very quiet when we went (November) so no probs getting lounger. Good sun-bathing areas. Pool didnt seem to be heated. Could have been nicer if was heated. Pools were good size. We tried using the larger pool i nsister hotel Tenerife Sur but we were told we couldnt as we privately booked. (Their pool was nice with a bar and very comfy sunbeds)
Wasnt a bad hotel. Only 15min walk to the beach and bars/main restaurants, but there are nice and better hotels in Tenerife. We are used to staying in Adaje, and preferred that resort to stay in over Los Christianos. Prob wouldnt stay here again to be honest
