“Great place, Excellent holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Booked up at Granada Park in early november and we had a fantastic holiday. Booked up with Broadway Travel and booked flights seperate as its much cheaper. Very good all inclusive, not much selection on food but it was good food, don't know what people expect for the price. Excellent staff and the apartments were fantastic. The apartments are a little bit out of the way but theres cheap taxis down to either Los Cristianos or Playa de Las Americas where there's plenty of cheap restaurants with excellent food. Will be booking again in the near future.

Before me and my partner went to Granada Park I was slightly sceptical after reading several mixed reviews. Im now very glad to tell you that I should have completely ignored all the negatives!!
We arrived on the 15th November and were greeted by very welcoming reception staff who were very helpful throughout the holiday (reconfirmed shuttlebus for leaving without asking...giving directions etc).
The service remained of a high level and through to the evenings entertainment which consisted of a variety of shows, bingo etc. and during the days where mini activities were carried out in the pool which everyone seemed to enjoy taking part in or watching

As for the food (Im a fussy eater) breakfast was incredible with so many choices from a traditional fry up, cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheese and many more.
Although we were all inclusive me and my partner didnt eat many lunch and dinners here - Not because we didn't like it but simply because we were too busy trying to fit in everything in Tenerife. When we did however eat here there were still options including pasta, chips, chicken, clams, pork, salads... the list is endless and I found there were different things to try every evening (we always had a nosey as our room was 126... right above the buffet)

Thoughout our stay we had our room cleaned on the days we wanted it doing (on the back of the door is a card you put on the front either saying clean my please or do not disturb) I found this to be perfect for us as when we were busy getting ready and so forth you could have your peace.

The main thing that we enjoyed was the space. Having a whole apartment to yourself... bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room with your own balcony. We didnt use the kitchen and living room much but having the option if we wanted to stay in was fantastic.
As for cleaning the rest of the hotel I often saw people cleaning the pool area, disinfecting the kitchen area late at night as we were on our way up to our room etc.

Overall we were very happy for what we paid and have both agreed that we would like to stay again. Our only fault was our bed (two singles pushed together instead of a double) but you get that in lots of other hotels.

Added tips for staying
- Taxi rank at the bottom of the hill (trips mixed in prices between 4-7 euros)
- To book trips out such as Loro park, water sports etc. Go to Playa De las Americas beach and go to the stand near the information desk - right on the edge of the beach in a white shack - These people English and Spanish were VERY helpful and had amazing deals for when we went jet skiing and parascending

Room Tip: Rooms not facing the pool are usually quieter and rooms at the top you have your own roof terrence.

just came back from a trip to here coundnt fault the staff or how clean the place was except some of the walkways and steps were dirty 2 times we were woken by youngsters coming home early hours but the thing that spoilt it for us was the food menu they must think the british eat cold chips every day twice a day and cold meals as well the soup seemed to be what they had left over lunch and dinner also we were over run by so many flies but they seemed to be over the island

Room Tip: rooms on the south are louder

Travelled during October half term with husband and two children (aged 8 and 4). Unfortunately weather was not wall to wall sunshine but did not spoil what turned out to be fantastic relaxing family holiday. Granada Park could not be faulted in anyway. Went all inclusive, yes food was a bit repetitive but what do you expect with so many to please. Always topping up with fresh and soups were the best I have tasted. Breakfast was our favourite meal by far, pancakes for girls, lovely sausages. Walk to Los Cristianos was pleasant enough and then on to Playa via pedestrain walk by sea was lovely. Only thing resort needs is play area. Apartments were spotless and the best I have seen for self catering. Full size cooker, fridge and freezer. Two good super markets within walking distance and one on site for essentials. All staff from reception to cleaners could not be faulted. Evening entertainment was good and Nando brilliant. Apartments perfectly located away from hussle and bussle. Would return tomorrow!

This really is a pleasant hotel, really could not fault it. Staff friendly and helpful, pool area was fab, plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar excellent, drinkable wine, great for all inclusive! Decent evening entertainment on the nights we didn't venture down to Las Americas. Restaraunt was really good. Maybe not the choice you get at bigger places but really good quality delicious food, and felt like a proper restaurant, airy and attractive with views over las americas, certainly not the canteen usually experiences in AI hotels. No queues, no feeling of rush, just a nice enviroment, felt like a treat going in there not a chore as was with the last AI I went to. Me being mainly vege and like salad and healthy foods and my boyfriend being a meat and too veg type, we were both happy with what was on offer and never got bored, usually eat out at least one night for a change but we didn't bother at all. The apartments were amazing, I have lived in smaller flats, lovely big balconies, big kitchen, big bathroom, big bedroom, plenty of wardrobe space and big sitting room. Beds comfortable, rooms cleaned every day but one. I could have fitted the whole apartment I stayed in earlier this year in Menorca just into the bedroom at this place. Everyone we spoke to was impressed with the place, no grumbling, will definitely be back. The only off putter is the location, quite a walk into Los Christianos along roads by unfinished building site areas and waste land. Have no problems with walking but with the heat we took advantage of the taxi rank right outside, only about 5 euros into las americas. But it had the advantage of making the place peaceful and relaxing, away from the busyness of Las Americas. Being in the middle of both locations really does make for a great holiday as there is so much to do and see in both resorts. Excellent.

We got a good deal for a five night stay with some friends. We were automatically allocated neighbouring rooms and we had top floor rooms with a sun terrace and large balconies.

Some of the apartments have been purchased so they are a very generous size and our rooms were well maintained. We had a large seperate kitchen, lounge with dining table and a good sized bedroom with built in wardrobes.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms and communal areas were well maintained and clean.

There are two pools, one unheated (very cold) and one heated. Along with a baby pool. The pools need a re-tile because many tiles are missing. About half the sunbeds are in bad condition (saggy!) but there were always beds available.

The restaurant was good, with al fresco dining and indoor areas. Drinks are self service and the food was generally good. We found breakfast was good, with a range of hot and cold foods and regularly replenished. Lunch was often good as well, with fish, vegetarian and meat dishes. There was a lot of salad and sometimes there was a barbequed meat as well. Dinner was perhaps a little poor, the selection wasn't great but you could usually find something that you were happy with. Some of the meat was tough and gristly, and some dishes were a bit cool. After a few days it was a bit samey and so we ventured into town on the last night for a slap-up meal.

The wine was drinkable and the beer was pretty decent. In the pool bar there was a good range of spirits and mixers. The house spirits were ok but probably not premium strength. Gin was the best one we found. Beer was good but the cocktails of the day to be avoided! The bar were find with you getting rounds/a couple of drinks, and drinks were served in glasses or plastic cups if you were at the bar or at the pool. There were far too few tables and seats at the bar however the restaurant didn't seem to mind you taking chairs from there. The enterainment in the evenings was ok if you're into that kind of thing. Bar shut at 11pm but you could get a few drinks in and they didn't rush you to leave

We ventured into town a couple of times, the walk isn't particularly scenic and takes 30mins to get into Los Cristianos but there is a taxi rank outside the hotel and it's a 5 euro trip.

We really enjoyed it as a winter break, the weather was generally good and the place was relaxed. The food and drink was good however it's not top quality so maybe budget for a couple of nights out to break up the routine!

Room Tip: Some top floor rooms have a sun terrace and large balconies.

Arrived 06 Nov 2012 to the usual sunny island of tenerife. Reception very efficient and as requested had a ground floor room with a cot for my 16 month old. However the cot had no mattress but had a blanket underneath the sheet. Not very comfortable. We asked reception for a mattress but they said they did not have any and gave us 3 more clean blankets to use to soften the cot. First night was a bad one for our daughter as she could not get comfortable in the cot and no air con in the room so very hot. We asked reception in the morning if they could do anything and we were moved to a Premium room with air con and when they moved the cot a mattress arrived with it which helped immensely. Other than this the room was great. very spacious and the power shower was good however no taps to run a bath for our baby. Very clean throughout and the premium rooms also had a microwave which came in handy. (in future i will book a premium room 232 as only an extra £20 per person per week)
The hotel food was good but not brilliant plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch but evening meal was a bit samey (the english sausage was good and the wine on tap keeped the in-laws happy.) The chef was great as my daughter has a milk allergy so on request he would cook fresh fish and chicken for her with no sauces etc. this was a great help. Plenty of high chairs also.
The pool area was cleaned every morning and was quite good especially the heated pool for the baby but I did notice that some of the pool floor tiles were missing and they could do with renovating soon. One of the bridge supports was also snapped but not dangerous. No problems finding a sunbed but unlike other all inclusives there is no sun mattresses or towels provided.
A distinct lack of entertainment for children though from November onwards. The kids club is shut and no swings or slides etc to play on only an old crazy golf set up in dire need of a makeover a little dangerous for kids to play around as hole markers were rusty and loose. This definitely needs improving.
breakfast stops at 10 but the pool side bar does not open until 11 so this hour can drag when soaking up the rays waiting for refreshment. At 12 snacks are provided but lunch is just around the corner at 1300 so these would be better at 10. Again afternoon snacks provided at 1700 not at the more suitable 1500. snacks are sandwiches chips or pizza.
Night time entertainment is basic but what do you expect for the money One Direction. A few local singers and dancers with the usual animal shows were OK but should start a little earlier than 2200 to have a better audience.
in summary this hotel has way more positives than negatives. The walk into either Los Christianos or Playa going behind the golf course takes only 20 minutes and is enjoyable and only 5 euros taxi back. The location is lovely and quiet.
The staff are fantastic and are only to happy to help from the reception staff through to the maintenance staff always happy to smile and say ola.
Big plus is the size of the rooms as you do not expect this when all inclusive and only real negative is air con not in every room but would definitely stay again for a winter break. Just what the doctor ordered.

Room Tip: Pay the extra £20 a week and get a premium room with air con and a private sun roof terrace
