“Steve - Notts”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This wasn't our original choice but due to circumstances beyond our control we ended up in this place "that time has forgotten" back in March. The room was spacious but the timber windows and doors, being so old, are twisted and warped to the extent that there is clear daylight with enough space for a large rodent to make an entrance. No microwave provided, a ridiculously small TV with only Sky news and the beds were truely uncomfortable. As for the "pool side bar" and also the only bar it was basic to say the least.

We were fully inc. but after a few days of luke warm food and regular visits from the house cat(s) we decided to give the canteen a miss and eat elsewhere.

The location isn't ideal as its on the hilly outskirts of the resort with local people referring to it as "cardiac hill". Clearly unsuitable for the elderly or the infirm (which we are not).

Overall it was cheap enough but you only get what you pay for and if you're looking for something that has the "seventies" feel about it and you're not bothered about the quality of food or the finesse of the surroundings and it could be for you.

Room Tip: No A/C's visible on any floors

Dear Mr. Kent, We would like to thank that you have taken your time in writing your review on your stay at Los Alisios. We regret very much that you did not enjoy entirely your stay with us. Obviously, we have taken note your comments about the the temperature of the buffet dishes and will look into it. Just let us to clarify a couple of details: Indeed, there is no microwave in the apartments, but this is not featured in any descriptions. TV is free of charge with different channels in different languages. Generally, the feed back from our guests we receive from the questionnaires about food quality is quite satisfactorily. Regarding beds, and again taking as reference our questionnaires, our costumers do not consider them as uncomfortable. As for cats, obviously we do not have cats, but please bear in mind that in the neighbourhood there are private apartment blocks where people have cats. Cats are very independent beings and go where ever they please and where they feel at ease. As for the location, Los Alisios is quietly located on the outskirts of Los Cristianos, though not too far away from town centre and beach. There is a slight upwards road tp the property, but it is not on a steep hill and we definitely would not consider it as a "cardiac hill". Once again, we are really sorry that you did not thoroughly enjoy your holiday with us. The Manager

We spent a week here at Easter and found it to be exactly what we needed. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with self catering facilities as we were travelling with a young baby. The rooms were spotlessly clean and bedding changed everyday. We only ate twice in the complex but were glad that we didn't go all inclusive as there was little choice (only one restaurant and a pool snack bar). There are so many local bars and restaurants which were good quality and not expensive so it would have been a shame to eat in every night. The pool was lovely and there were enough loungers on most days. The staff were as friendly as they needed to be and the hotel was gated with a key so that it felt safe. There are lots of steps in and around the pool and up to the block we were in and so with a buggy it was difficult. However, all in all it was a great place and well worth the money.

Booked about 6 wks prior to our departure on April 10th with our 3 children aged 7,10&15 yrs.Checked out lots of places but Los Alisios came up at such a great price with Low cost holidays £850 for H/B in a 1 bedroom apt.Flights with Ryanair £600!!bargin..
Hotel clean friendly staff and food was good too.The kids enjoyed the pool and Marco was great with them. The hotel is about 15mins walk to the beach but we enjoyed that each day.If you fancy a break away with lots of sun than this is a fab place.A visit to SiamWater park is a must cost £100 for the family but it was amazing on par with Aquatica Florida!Lots of restaurants and bars in resort too. Will defo be going back for some winter sun..

Room Tip: C block sunny balcony

Just arrived back from a weeks holiday at Los Alisios and what a fantastic time we had. The apartments may need a few minor repairs, but it was well made up for by the large size of the apartment the cleanliness and the excellent hospitality of the staff. Me and my husband went but the apartment was well big enough for four people, the towels and bedding were changed as often as you wanted and the apartment was kept extremely clean. We were self catering so can not comment on the food in the restaurant. On our last day our pick up was five o'clock and the manager agreed to let us use the apartment until that time at no extra cost.
As for LosChristianos it was our first trip to Tenerife and won't be the last it is a very nice resort and port the beaches are fantastic and the old town has plenty of old Spanish tapas bars and lovely restaurants.
We will be returning to Los Christianos And to Los Alisios in the not to distant future.
Trip up mount teide is worth it if you like that sort of thing but just lounging on the beach can't be beaten.
Just one negative costa adeje is rubbish full of all new stuff and has no character unless you want to spend all your hols shopping for designer gear.
So thanks again Los Alisios for making our stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: Block B had sun late into the evening and the apartments are very big. Higher floors offer great vie...

Having read some previou comments about the food I was expecting much worse than what we actually got. For the additional price of ALL Inclusive I would say that the food overall was not too bad. The fried eggs were a bit runny and sometimes the scrabbled egg was not too great. The bacon was sometimes burnt. But the rest of the food was very good and a mixed choice every day. We eat out a few times as steak is always very good in Tenerife. The appartments in A block 4th floor were large and cleaned regularly nearly every day including towel change. No microwave in room but their is a fridge. A block gets the sun in the mornings and is not on the main road. The pool bar shuts at 11pm and All Inclusive drinks stop at 10.30pm which is not so good. Their is no nightime entertainment except quiz and bingo and some guy with a guitar onec a week. The location of hotel is at the top of the resort almost the last complex from the beach. It takes 30 mins to walk to beach with a childs buggy. Walking back up the hill with buggy and shopping could be a strain for some in the heat. Probably not good for older people with walking difficulty. Taxi to Playa is 5 to 6 euros which isn't bad. The beaches all look pretty good and seems like they have shipped in golden sand from elsewhere to improve the look. Playa Vista beach is probably the best which is at the far end of Los Christinanos beach past the harbour and thru a small tunnel under the hill. You can walk right the way from Los Christianos to Playa via the beach front which is quite nice. There was a mix of Russians, Nordics, Belgium, French, German, Spanish and British at the hotel and a lot of reserving sun beds early in the morning which I hate - don't do it.

Room Tip: If you like to sit on balcony while sun goes down you need block B upper levels. There are lifts.

Hi we went on holiday here on 24th march for a week..... Arrived at about 8.30 pm lady on reception was lovely sent us down for dinner and did all the check in while we ate dinner. We took our 4 children aged 12,9,8 and 1 for a bit of winter sun with 4 kids we went all inclusive and we were not disappointed in the least it was an absolute bargain and fantastic value for money.....
Rooms
We had block c high floor, fantastic view over the pool area and the sea, lovely big balcony huge room, clean and tidy maids were superb and a constant supply of clean towels.
Restaurant
Lots of choice to suit everybody, superb breakfasts, helpful staff , nice selection of salads, plenty of high chairs and food cooked to order ie pancakes for breakfast.
Pool area
Huge choice of sun beds you didn't need to get up at 6am to get a bed, pool really clean only negative vents covering pool are not fixed on so can come off giving a big hole for kids to slip down.
Pool bar
Three ladies work this, one was superb, one ok just didn't like doing snacks and one very very slow, so sometimes a wait for drinks, but drinks were plentiful as was ice cream for kids they helped themselves all day !!!!
Entertainment
Lovely guy ran day times things ...my kids weren't too fussed but joined in with football and volleyball, there is entertainment at night but it's a quiet hotel so don't expect big extravagant shows.
Area around
A lovely pleasant walk 15 mins max to the sea, 4 mins to supermarket, 8 minutes to the bus station where you can get a bus to everywhere, we had a pushchair and it wasn't a struggle, in factbthere were several different routes to the beach and sea, some took longer about 20 minutes particularly if we went via the park!!!! The hotel is quiet and well placed for a family holiday, most days we walked to the beach, kids had a play then walked to the harbour to watch boats, the promenade area is lovely too.
A fab holiday, we have stayed 5 * luxury turkey and we felt it was a good 3* yes a bit dated but spotlessly clean with big rooms, yes they could do with a bit of an update but everything worked and was tidy I've been to a lot worse 3*!!!!
go with an open mind .....

Room Tip: Bock c high floor

I stayed at these apartments for a week beginning 31st March 2013. Upon arriving we were pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and clearly informed of all entertainment and facilities within the apartments, such as vollyball, pool, tennis ect. Our room was very well cleaned everyday and we were given fresh towels whenever we wanted, the room was comfortable with a working tv, fridge, hob, coffee maker and toaster. The large balcony had a great view of the pool area. The restaurant buffet was appealing to all tastes, there was different options available everyday and were prepared fresh. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and hospitable. The bar area and minimarket were well equipped and the staff were helpful. Los Alisios is just a short walk from the town centre where you will find lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Overall our holiday here was very enjoyable and we would certainly return.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a good view of the pool area as they receive the sun in the early evening.
