I stayed here with my husband. On arrival we were given a room which had a brick wall for a window complete with patio table and chairs,No view though!!!.We were already being moved as i had requested a high floor(on booking), and this was only the third floor,so i really didn't need to complain.Thing is this room had been refurbished and it STILL wasn't good.Got our room on the 6th floor over looking the pool.Tierd!!! Dated!!!!! No way can this hotel be 4*.I have stayed in 3* hotels with much better room's.The food was very nice BUT Please be aware that men have to wear long trousers and NO sleeveless tops(eg vest's) during the winter months. We went in october which was lovely weather!!!! Nobody told us when we booked and it was a bit embarrasing at times. My husband doesn't even take long trousers on holiday. He wears nice shirts and dress shorts or 3/4 trousers.Even that wasn't acceptable!! But it was "tough" because there was no way we were going out to buy a pair of trousers to wear for dinner.Mind you!!! it was ok for the women to wear skirts ,shorts and whatever they wanted which barely covered their dignity.I call that SEXIST!!! If they want to act like a 5* hotel then they need a serious makeover and their dress code should apply to women also. The nice thing about this hotel was the pool area's particularly the roof top. This hotel is on a seriously steep bank so please be warned just in case you have walking difficulties.I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at thre Paradise park for one week, however as per the previous reviewer I would have to agree that the rooms are in dire need of a makeover. The last time a refurb was done must have been a good twenty years ago and if it's going to compete with other 4-star hotels then it'll need to brush up it's act. The fabric wallpaper in the rooms was ripped, the air-con was about as effective as a battery operated fan, the bathroom suite must have come from the 70s and the colour match of grey & orange doesn't exactly work. Beds were OK though and it was clean. In fairness if you're not too bothered about such things and simply want a functional room then it's fine.

The restaurant food was as the previous reviewer put decidedly average, we got fed up after five nights of the same stuff and ate out. Dinner is generally pork/chicken/fish done in different sauces and there's the sald/cold meats option. Deserts were pretty tasteless and I tended to opt for cheese & biscuits which was much better. Breakfast was fine, usual fry-up choice or cold meats & cheese or pastries. I would recommend go B&B only, you can eat out for just a little more than half-board supplement and youll get a better dinner.

Pool area was fine, the top level pool & sunbathing area was good. I generally go out & about so can't compare it to other places.

Inside of the hotel was OK, although at times smells from the kitchen tend to waft about... unfortunately they're not always pleasant smells!!

I would have to say that I wouldn't go back to this hotel but would probably opt for self-catering. I like a kind of basic standard to rooms, I felt even a travel lodge would have been better!!

Hotel
we found the hotel to be very clean however rooms needed a refurbishing which was taking place but was not finished in all of the rooms. There was six swimming pools we personally loved the roof top pool which also consisted of two jaccuzzi's and number of gazebo's. Two of the pools were for adults only which we found very relaxing as there was no children splashing you in the pool. The sun loungers which were solid wood and had thick cushions.
It is located on a hillside which we found was a pleasant walk in the evenings. 10 to 15 mins walk from the beach and 15 mins from the airport.

Food
The hotel food wasn't quite up to our standard as we found it did not suit our taste. It was aimed at mainly spanish and german visitors. We found breakfast had a very good variety however didn't differ on a day to day basis.( cereal, fruit fry up always available)
We ate out every night, we would recommend "cabbanas" which is on the sea front it gave good decent size portions and great service. We would not recommend "chicago's" unless you like frozen peas and rotten jacket potatoes when my girlfriend complained the comment was pushed a side and no apology was given. "harvey's" and "Shambles" were two bars that we would recommend for karaoke and drinks after food.

Trips(Book your trips at the beach front not through your travel rep as they are much cheaper eg volcanoe trip cost us 18 euros and through thomas cook would have been 39 euros)
we went to Sian Park which we really enjoyed and found this well worth the 28 euros it would be good for all ages as it had a variety of different activities. We also went on a trip to see the volcanoe which was amazing and saw the most beautiful views. We also went on a boat trip for three hours to see dolphins and whales and also swim in the sea this cost 28 euros and was well worth the money you also got dinner and two free drinks. This was also aimed at all ages. The market was also good but be warned there are fake reps at the market that will try and show you a green banana card that you can get given from your rep in order to get your details KEEP AWAY. Make sure you barter when you buy anything from the market as they will try it on.

Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel but wouldn't go half board self cattering would have been the best option as great resturants were at the sea front. However if you wanted quality food you had to pay for it. our typical two person two course meal with drinks would have been 30 euros.

I agree with the other reviews about the staff - they were all friendly and helpful. The only downside is the location of the hotel which is quite a distance from the beach. The rooms were clean although a bit shabby. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and had a lovely view of the sea. Four other guests who were staying on the 5th floor asked us if we had any cockroaches in our room (which we hadnt) and they complained to be told that the rooms had been fumigated 2 weeks previous. The food was warm and never hot but edible. The entertainment at night was just ok. Most nights we walked down to the beach front and we went to the "Irish Times" bar which was very enjoyable. We took the local bus into Las Americas and there are lots of shops there. We also went whale watching and at 60 euro it was good value. We also went up to Mount Tiede but when we got there it was another 25 euro to go up in the cable car. It was very hot when we were there and we went up to the pool at the top of the hotel where there is a fantastic view of the whole area. There is also another pool area which is open to the locals and it is very nice. It was quiet and very clean.

Overall I enjoyed the Paradise Park but I did find it a bit "out of the way" .

We have just returned from a pleasant stay at the Paradise Park. The reception staff were friendly and the hotel very clean.
Our first room was on the first floor and the balcony was unfortunately level with the road outside and near the air conditining vents and judging by the smell also some drains! We asked the following day (Sun) if we could change rooms and the staff said that they could move us on the Tue. They didn't ask what was wrong with the room so assume this happened regularly? Our second room was a floor higher and had a fantastic location with a pool view.
Both rooms were very clean, the staff ensure seem to know exactly when you take the do not disturb sign off your door and the rooms were cleaned very quickly.
This hotel is 20 years old and it is beginning to show in the rooms which are beginning to get a bit shabby but are still comfortable. If appeared that they were redoing some of the rooms.
The hotel is situated on a hill, a very long hill! Just something to bear in mind as this is made worse by the heat.
It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach (down that hill!) but there is a courtesy bus every 30 mins to a busier part of the resort and a different beach. We used this service once and the return trip only happened once an hour - think the driver may have been pulling a fast one!!
The food was great, it was warm as opposed to hot but it was a buffet. It is a bit like being in a cafeteria byt this appears the norm in most hotels now.
Lunch was a much nicer atmosphere as you can sit near the pool or inside and the chef cooks fresh fish and meat for you.
All in all a pleasant stay.
