This is a really good hotel, went with my husand and 17 yr old daughter in June 09. Never been to Tenerife before and first impressions were really good as soon as we flew into Reina Sofia Airport. The Hotel is situated on a slight hill near the end of Los Cristianos. We booked with Thomas Cook and after having been used to apartments this was our first half board holiday for quite a while. On arrival at the hotel, we were given the key to our room, after producing our passports and were given exactly what we had requested on booking, 12th floor room, overlooing the pool and a fantastic mountain and sea views and overlooking the harbour. Lovely big room family room, seperate lounge with fold out bed, comfy couch and chair (although slightly dated). Was a bit wary of the beds from what I had read, although very firm we found very comfortable and had a brilliant nights sleep, no need for air-con, just nice! The maid was lovely, very polite and made the beds every day, fresh clean towels, free shampoo and shower gel and a really good sized bathroom and a lovely shower - just the right temperature, no messing about, and no-one having to endure a cold shower! Although we had a TV, only BBC News 24, Sky News, CNN and other Spanish chanels, so didn't really bother with it. The food was really good, lots of choice, although not sure about the bacon, swimming in grease, but the scrambled egg was nice! Considering how many people they cater for, thought they did very well, try the local fish its lovely with a bit of Mojo sauce!
Pool was nice, although could do with being bigger, plenty of sun beds (although not sure about July/August), pool bar serving snacks, toasties, burgers chips etc, although it wasn't exactly cheap, the same at night, entertainment ok, more for the kids, our teenager was a bit bored, we ended up going down to the sea front in Los Christianos for drinks after our dinner as it was alot cheaper.
If you get the chance, visit Siam Water Park, absolutely fantastic, something for everyone, they even have a gorgeous beach and surfing, think it worked out about £25 each, but it was well worth the money, there is even a free bus every half an hour from the hotel gates to the water park. Also, try the walk into Playa Americas along the sea front, its so lovely. The bus stop is just along the road as you turn right out of the hotel, these are very reliable and cheap and go to lots of places in the Island.
We will definately be going back to Los Cristianos and this Hotel - it is a beautiful, clean, tidy place, friendly people, (apart from the usual annoying ones trying to sell sunglasses and watches, and the women hair braiders).
