First of all, they have two Abora restaurants side by side (as it was explained to us, it used to be one place, but then the husband and wife separated or something). My review refers to the place on your left, if standing with your face to the restaurants and your back to the ocean.
Dined there 3 times during our stay at the town. The food is freshly made, maybe not very sophisticated, but absolutely delicious. Tried their paella, grilled mixed sea platter, fish fillet, salads, kids meals - every dish was truly tasty, came with all the dressings and fantastic canary potatoes. When I asked to replace the fries in the kids meals by some fresh vegs, they had no problem with it, no extra charge. When they saw that a fly has drown in my glass of sangria, they brought us a whole new jug. On the first time the service was very good, on the second time it was great, on the third time they greeted us as old friends and brought all sorts of free extras: a bowl of fresh salad, a jug of sangria, an upgraded ice-cream with the kids meal etc. It was so warm, tasty, welcoming and inexpensive, that we wouldn't even consider any other place when we would go to the Los Cristianos's beach. You can also sit down and finish your meal while the children (of course, if they are big enough:) playing on the sandy beach, as you can see them perfectly well from the restaurant's outer tables.
