“what a shame..what is happening??”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

I have been reading the reviews as we are planning our next visit with plans to make it permanant..
we visited in april this year and it was definatly one of the best holidays ive had..the appartments were clean..there were no yobs/drunks wandering around and we slept well,
the only downside was the entertainment was dismal/non existant
** we were self catering so the food was not an issue
(i did think there should be security day and night as we had 3 girls with us and wandering around the site we never seen any..
but at the time i thought that we were lucky that we never needed it!)
I am so sorry that there were roberies at the appartments and the standard has dropped i hope they improve thier act and sort this all out as ive had some dreadfull holidays and this was not one of them for us..
maybe cctv should be installed and definatly a security gaurd..it is very open..maybe lock the reception door and have an electronic pass key that changes weekly..this doesn,t cost much? the appartments are very near the front and are so convenient the place is very quiet and clean and i felt safe with my family..what has happened in 3 months? have the staff/management changed?i look forward to reading possitive reviews shortly and verification from others on this site that these wonderfull appartments have had a shake up then we will book again.....

Room Tip: we were next to the bar this was ok as it was little used and not noisy..to be honest any appartment...

went on the 10th of july for 10 days, was really looking forward to a nice holiday... OBVIOUSLY NOT WHAT WE GOT!!! to be fair the rooms weren't bad at all i shared with my friend and we had plenty of space and they seemed clean, however we met a family who had cockroaches in their beds under the covers and the sewage was coming up the toilet... oh and you could not sleep because the heat would send you sick seen as there was no fan or air conditioning!!! the food was a joke, was hardly any choice, a chip each if you were lucky. hardly anyone there, had to wait 15 minutes for somebody to decide to serve you at the bar which when you got them they were dirty plastic cups. 2 pools were closed and the third was filthy with god knows what lurking about in it. there were 4 of us and we met a few familys too, all who decided to complain and asked to move which we did in the end... they had to pay 100 and odd pounds each and there was 14 of them!!!!!! luckily we didnt have to pay any more and in the end we enjoyed the holiday but never ever again would i go back not in a million years!!!

Like a tin of ronseal. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Shocking right from the outset even arriving in the dark. Went down to have a look at dinner, did not look appetising at all especially the anemic chips. Rooms were very basic and disgusting that bad even the cockroaches had moved out. The bathroom was dire and silicone all mouldy around shower and bath as well as having to put up with the smell. Staff were ignorant and arrogant. One couple who vacated their room to let cleaners tidy up a smashed glass so their 12 month old child didn't have an accident went for a drink whilst this was taking place and returned to find he had all his clothes stolen. One person had been mugged and there had been numerous break ins. As a family with a 4 & 7 year old we would not want anyone to experience anything like what we did along with the other 20 people that moved hotel with us. I wouldn't recommend these meant to be newly refurbished apartments/bungalows to anyone. If booked for here I would have a contingency plan in place before you travel.

I was one of the 22 people that had to move from here - 1st room given was in a dark corner with wild cats and 2 seats on a slab of concrete no patio - it was so isolated and our main concern was security and being safe as we're 3 ladies. After a debate at reception we were offered another room slighty better but no air con and a shed door lead us onto a patio with false green grass (carpet) ? On our visit to the restaurant ( well dark drab cave ) there was not one cleared table we had to clear and set up our selfs and then only ending up with a chip butty there was hardly any food and little choice - Evening entertainment hardly anyone there and so dark no atmosphere at all - We decided on a early night to await our visit from the Rep. Next morning we heard a couple that had arrived same as us had got robbed within 2/3 of arrival ( Who happened to have been in the next room that we were 1st given ) Gail our Rep sorted it for 22 of us to be moved to another hotel which was a palace compared to this - Think carefully before you book here( its not what it says on the packet) and Jet2 please pulled out of this place before it ruins your reputation - But Gail your Rep is a credit to your company for all she had to do that morning

Room Tip: didn't stop long enough to find out

This is my first review on Tripadvisor. I've never felt the need to review a holiday before, but I feel compelled to provide a review of the Atlantida Bungalows. We're a family of four who returned from the Atlantida Apartments on the 10th July 2012 after a ten day stay. We were all inclusive, as we had experienced all inclusive on a holiday to Portugal two years ago and really enjoyed the experience of being able to not worry about having to be constantly paying out for every single ice cream or drink throughout the day. On arrival, the room that we were allocated was, to be blunt, disgusting. Nothing like the photo's we'd viewed on the website prior to leaving. Old, tired decor, no air con (which we understood from our travel agent was in the rooms), the bathroom smelled of urine (and flushing the toilet actually made it worse), the shower heads were filthy, the bath and shower tray were old & chipped. Because it was late, we spent the night there, but spoke with reception the next day, who initially said we would have to pay to upgrade. Eventually, we were offered a far cleaner, more modern room near to the pool at no additional cost. Because we had heard of break-ins, we kept the doors & windows locked when we were sleeping. This meant the room was stiflingly hot, and as a result we hired a fan (at extra cost). We also hired a safety deposit box (we usually do, this was not because of the break-ins). The food was ok, nothing special, limited choice, but there was hot buffet and cold buffet, soup most nights, desserts were ice cream (choice of two flavours), fruit salad or local cakes. The restaurant staff were generally very friendly. One of the pools wasn't open, but I think this was probably because the apartments weren't fully occupied. More sun beds were added round the pool as our stay progressed, and new people arrived. Biggest concern for us though was the break ins. Our kids are very good, if told to keep windows & doors locked, they don't forget, so we had no real worries on that score, but we returned to our room one day after the cleaner had been in to find our patio door and window left open. Bit concerning. Security staff were eventually hired to patrol the grounds during the night, but in reality they were ineffective as the break-ins continued. As we were leaving, we heard of a family who's room had been robbed even though the doors and windows had been left locked. We had a nice time in the sun, but are glad to be home with all our belongings intact, not exactly how you should feel after your summer break.

Room Tip: Rooms near the pool by the restaurant seem to be more modern. Rooms higher up, seemed to have more l...

i arrived at at these apartments with my two friends on july 3rd the first room that we were given was not suitable so we were offered another room which we took . then we went to the restaurant [ if that what you call it ] .It was a dark cave with dirty tables the food was no better . so the next day along with 22 other guests we asked to be moved to another hotel which was the best thing that we did i would not recommend these apartments they are unsafe as one of our fellow guests apartment was broken into and had all his clothes stolen within two hours of arriving so bewarned.

I stayed at the atlantida apartments from the 3rd of July and was meant to stay until yesterday which was the 10th, but we moved hotels along with 23 other people on the second day of our holiday it was that bad! I would not recommend it to anyone, we got there and the doors to our room was like a garden shed door, so anyone could break in, also on the same day of arrival a couple we arrived with got all of his clothes stolen and the recopinist said they were going to ring tr police and they never did. Also there was 4 other breakings that week, you just couldn't relax and did not feel safe.

The food was awful, the night we ate there we had chips and onion rings because there was no choice of food, the breakfast wasn't even that great, all I had was toast.

The next morning of arrival, myself and my boyfriend asked to move along with 23 people, all 20 of us went to the same hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are a worrier and do not want to be carrying around all of your money and passport.
