“Amazing hotel, Excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Location could not be closer to the beach. Rooms were big and comfortable and we had a private balcony with views of the pool and the ocean. Impeccably clean. The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel ever. It changed every morning and was served by the pool. Room service was quick and efficient and available until midnight. Having a discount at a restaurant directly on the beach and free use of the beach chairs was just the icing on the cake. Can not recommend this hotel more!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have a view of the pool and the ocean.

We decided to stay at the Argo based upon the TA reviews and can confirm that it is an absolutely superb small family run hotel where the staff will go the extra mile to make sure that you have a great stay. From picking you up at the airport the level of service and staff attitudes is excellent.
The rooms are big and airy with comfy beds, air conditioned and come complete with a fridge for you to keep your drinks etc. Breakfast is continental buffet style but offers more choice than most hotels that we have stopped in Greece.
The pool and deck area are brilliant to sit out with day beds, nice seating area and bar with ice chilled glasses for your beer.
The link up with the Avil restaurant at the front is also worth having as you get 10% discount and big bonus, you can book food and drinks back to your room. Doesnt sound much but becomes important when you realise that there are no local ATM's!
Don't hesitate to book this place we will definitely come back.

What more can be said about the Argo Hotel that others have not said already?!... A sheer delight. Great value for money, great location, the most welcoming of staff and a great owner in Thanassis. This was our fourth visit to Mykonos and our first to Argo, but definitely not our last! All the good things others say is absolutely true. All we can add is that we stayed in room 101 on the top floor, which was large, spotlessly clean, with the quietest air con we've experienced in Greece, a free safe and a lovely view of the pool and the bay of Platis Gialos. We ate several evenings at the restaurant also owned by Thanassis, Avli Tou Thodori. You get 10% discount there if you stay at the hotel and it is one of the best restaurant's on the whole island and definitely our favourite. See you next year Thanassis and your great team.

Room Tip: Recommend room 101.

We stayed at Argo at the end of May for 5 days. We booked it because of the outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed! Our room was huge. We had requested a sea view which couldn't be accommodated unfortunately but the room we got was great - it was a family suite with 2 double beds , a lovely barroom and a small kitchenette with sink and fridge. It also had a huge balcony which stepped out onto the jacuzzi deck. The staff were amazing, so friendly. Breakfast was great, lots of selection and set us up for the day. The pool area was gorgeous, lived the chill out music and peacefulness- the hotel was full apparently but we often had the pool to ourselves! The food and drinks round the pool were good value. The cocktails weren't great but the gin was nice and strong! The location was also perfect- a short stroll to numerous gorgeous beaches. We also got the bus to Mykonos town one evening from right outside the hotel- took about 10 mins. The reviews on the hotel's restaurant are also spot on.. It is the best on the beach by far! The food and service were outstanding. We went there the first night and then tested some other restaurants along the beach which were ok but we ended up going back to the restaurant owned by the hotel.
All in all we loved Mykonos, loved Argo and were very sad to leave after only 5 days!

We had an amazing time at Argo. We were travelling with 5 adults and 1 baby, and they provided us with 3 rooms next to each other under the pool (Lots of privacy and great for our son who could run around and not disturb other guests). Cannot speak highly enough of the manager, who booked us dinner at Avli (on the beach and owned by Argo) and arranged for a suprise cake and candle for my husbands birthday. He also checked us into our flights online and removed all the hassle from check-in at the airport. The pool is beautiful and we spent many afternoons lying by the pool with a cocktail. Whilst you cannot see the beach from the hotel, it is a 2min walk away. The water is the bluest you will ever see and there are lots of great restaurants along the beach. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and regularly runs into Mykonos town. The rooms are fairly basic, but not really a priority when you have this stunning island to explore!

This is a modestly priced hotel that hits the mark in terms of what you're happy to pay for and what you'll be missing from a non-luxury hotel.

Awesome location, right near both the Platis Gialos and Psarou beaches but not right on them (which I suspect would be loud in the mornings). It's also very near to the bus station. As for service, the staff is exceptionally happy to help with whatever you need.

While the rooms are very clean, they're nothing to write home about. But that's kind of the point - this is a great, great hotel for anyone who wants a nice, clean room and great, friendly service in a superb location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs. The rooms on the ground level don't offer as much privacy from the pool...
