“Great Value and great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We stayed here for a week in July 2012. The hotel is perfectly located, and the staff is extremly helpful. The price is fantastic on an otherwise expensive island. The restaurant down on the beach gives you a discount and is very good. The pool area is great, and drinks and food at the pool bar are great as well. We had no compaints about the property or the staff, and would reccommend to anybody staying in mykonos and looking for are great valued property at a great price.

If you are looking for the perfect chill out holiday like we were, then this is for you !
Book the free transfer service the hotel provides before you go.( i gave the driver 5euros each way ).The hotel is just 15mins drive away from the airport.
The staff here are excellent. On arrival they make you so welcome, you feel in holiday mode straight away. The rooms are spacious, with modern shower, and are kept extremely clean throughout your stay. There is such a relaxed feel at the hotel.
From the moment you wake up ,breakfast is plentiful with a wide choice of food, and they will keep bringing it out up til 11am.This is a family run hotel, you will see mamma every morning and although she does not speak a word of english the staff will translate a conversation for you,she is lovely. They also own a restaurant on the beach which the son runs. The food is excellent and you get a discount if you are staying at the hotel. He will make you very welcome. The pool is lovely and clean, and they play chill out music all day.Costas behind the bar seems quiet at first but he cant do enough for you. There is a supermarket over the road which they recommend, but if you turn right out of the hotel and walk 200yds up the road you will find a cleaner ,cheaper and more choice one.Its always a worry when you recommend places to stay but friends of our took our advice and went there in september and loved it.Taxis are reasonable to get anywhere,Mykonos town about 12 euros.Beach is a couple of minutes walk where you can pick up a boat to other beaches.Cannot recommend this Hotel enough and defo go back !! Stayed in June ,hot with a cooling breeze

Lovely hotel, great value and great location. Fotis was amazing when our ferry to Santorini was cancelled due to high seas. He acted like our own personal travel agent in trying to get us booked on a flight and/or ferry to our next location. He went above and beyond. The pool was wonderful and this is a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the second level!

We found this hotel thru a hostel website so it is possible that our experience was slightly better because we were expecting a hostel and it was a nice hotel. But their prices as so low i think it would be the same effect, it is much nicer than you'd expect for the price. Location is great, just a short walk down the hill to the beaches and restaurants. There is a bus right accross the street which takes you into downtown and they have a shuttle from the port. So you can stay there without a car and be just fine. Our room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom a little small but all the ones we had in Greece were even at much more expensive places. The breakfast was AWESOME. Free Wifi and a great balcony off our room. The pool was great and there is a nice little convenience shop accross the street. Really can't think of enough great things to say about this place and it's been 2 years since I was there!

My family and I are just back from a trip to Mykonos where we stayed at Argo Hotel. With his lovely staff, we'll like to thank Thanasis (the owner) for 10 amazing days at Mykonos. Very nice rooms, delicious breakfast and very kind staff. Terrific! I'm gonna recommend this place for everyone who's gonna travel to Mykonos. The restaurant at the beach who's runned by Thanasis as well (Avli) served us with exciting dishes, and we will like to say thank you to Yannis for such a good service at the restaurant. We will also thank Costas, the nice guy at the hotel, and of course Thanasis for being such a good host. See you next year!

Myself and three friends have just returned from what i can only describe as an amazing seven day break in Mykanos. The Argo Hotel is great, clean, homely and soo close to the beach with brilliant pool, breakfast and staff. Not forgetting great rooms, fridge and ameneities.
On the beach you will find the hotel's restaurant Avli Tou Thodori, with a prime location, comfy sun loungers and am lush beach. The service from the Avli Tou Thodori staff was fantastic, whether we were drinking at the beach or eating some of the best food in the country we were attended too with enthusiasm, fun and friendliness. Yiannis (1), Yiannis (2), Yiannis (3) and Daniell were great and made us feel soo welcome (yes Yiannis is a popular name and there were 3 of them).
No wonder the Hotel and Restaurant are rated TripAdvisors number one..... Thanasis the owner is such a star. He could not do enough for us, always ensuring everything was perfect (and it was !) he treated each guest like a member of his family. He was a star !
Travelling to and from the airport was soo easy with the Argo's free transfer service and the hotel is only minutes from Mykonos town by bus or taxi.
Having travelled to many worldwide and EU countries i have to be honest and say that this hotel, restaurant and the staff have made it the only one i would return too, hopefully in the not soo distant future.
If you like great service, friendly staff, fantastic food and want to visit Greece then this is the place for you..... Enjoy - We did !!!!

We'd had a couple of pretty disappointing accommodations earlier in our visit to Greece, so my wife and I were very pleased to check into the Argo Hotel once we arrived in Mykonos. We'd booked it largely based on Tripadvisor reviews, and our experience was consistent with the many positive reviews here.

The hotel runs a free shuttle service between the hotel and the ferry terminal and airport.

Fotis at the front desk was excellent - very helpful with any questions about Mykonos and was also happy to help me research the best locations to pick up a rental car for our drive to Nafplio once we returned to Piraeus from Mykonos.

Once we checked in they brought us a a nice glass of juice, which was a pleasant surprise. The pool was fine and the service from the pool bar was good. They lent us a corkscrew one night even though they were officially closed, The breakfast (included in the rate) was served near the pool and consisted of standard items like cereals, bread, sliced meats, cheese, croissants, fruit, yogurt, etc.

We had dinner at the Avlio restaurant which is associated with the hotel and found the food and the service to be very good. The restaurant is only about 100 metres or less from the hotel, at the Platis Gialos beach area where you can also use the deckchairs if you are staying at the Argo. In this same area you can take boat tours, although we did not do this ourselves,

The hotel is conveniently located as you can take the bus into Mykonos town for (I think) E1.60 one way from a bus station about 50 metres from the Argo. There is also a bike rental place near the bus station which rents scooters and ATVs. We'd rented a Vespa on Santorini but didn't see the need on Mykonos as it was easy to take the buses up to Mykonos town. Only about a 10 minute ride on the bus.

The Argo is not especially luxurious accommodation, but it had everything we needed for our stay on Mykonos - spacious room, nice balcony overlooking the pool, good location, decent WiFi and a great restaurant close by. Excellent service from Fotis and other staff members. All in all it was very good value for quite a modest price. We'd have been happy to stay there longer than our two nights if time permitted.

Room Tip: We had #101 I think which was on the top floor and was said to be once of the nicer rooms...
