“A hidden treasure in Mykonos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2009

Wow... we booked this trip at the complete last minute after not being able to get into a number of boutique hotels in Mykonos. I was a little put off by the name, but being desperate for something, took a chance. What a phenomenal surprise. We ended up liking this hotel so much that we canceled the Santorini portion that we had planned and stayed in Mykonos 4 days longer!

The hotel is charmingly decorated, and each room is different. We stayed in a smaller room with a small balcony overlooking the ocean and the pool grounds. My only complaint about the room is minor, but the beautiful shower (like most European showers) spilled water on the floor, but with a towel on the ground was not a big deal. My only other complaint about the hotel is that WiFi isn't free, although it is not expensive, so we used it a lot. However, the good FAR FAR FAR outweighs these 2 tiny little nit-picky bads. First, the morning buffet is the most amazing buffet I have ever had, and we do hotel buffets in many upscale resorts. It includes anything you want, however, the cheese selection is to die for, unlimited champagne, and great coffee made this a favorite time of day during our stay. The pool is great, and we often found ourselves ordering food and laying out there for hours. The wonderful gentleman who works outside at the pool area kept us entertained with fun music and a great attitude. The restaurant in the hotel was good also, with a captivating view during sunset over the ocean. The entire staff was gracious and we enjoyed getting to know them over the course of our stay.

The location of the hotel is great, and we didn't need a rental car because the bus picks you up right down the street and will take you anywhere you want to go on island, with a short 5 minute ride into Hora. Very convenient for us. There are 2 beaches within a 5 minute walk, both gorgeous with restaurants and bars and beach service if you are interested.

I dream of going back to this wonderful hotel. Highly recommend.

Palladium + Mykonos...one goes with each other...the best accomodation i had so far..

I have visited many islands in Greece which is translated to many hotels as well..Palladium was simply the best so far...The staff was very friendly and i would like to send many many thanks to Ms. Maria Oikonomidou (who knew every single detail about the hotel and not only, she booked us everything we would like to have from a car to a restaurant, she proposed us places to visit, beaches and clubs where all of them were simply gorgeous.Overall, Ms Oikonomidou was very helpful and i will never forget her smile..she was always smiling which to be honest i have never found to a hotel's staff...Keep smiling Maria...

I recommend this hotel for ur next stay in Mykonos island where the decor, the staff and the view of the hotel are outstanding...I would also like to mention tha the food was also delicious where a variety of dishes for even the most demanding customers were offered. The service in ''La Veranda'' Restaurant was amazing. Tamta, the waitress of the ''La Veranda'' Restaurant was also very helpful and very friendly which me and my friends liked it a lot...This amazing girl had a great combination: to be professional but friendly and close to the customers at the same time..and at this point i have to say a big Bravo to the person who was responsible for selecting and recruiting the staff...In addition, every single person was a small detail added to this unique experience we had in the hotel and at the end Congratulations to all of them-from the housekeeping ladies to the hotel's manager- who were all there working for the guests' best comfort and holidays..

Last but not least, the cleanlines of the hotel was amazing and the most important is that every time we needed the staff were all there to help us no matter what we were asking for which we (me and my friends) found very profesional and a sign of taking care of us and the customers in general...

Next time that i will visit Mykonos again Palladium will be the only choice for me without thinking about my accomodation and the hotel i will choose to stay in.

Keep working like u do and offering this excellent service

Best regards

Nicosia, Cyprus - Giorgos

We have stayed with friends for a week from the end of August until the first week of September 2008. Upon arival everybody have been extremely friendly and sweet , the welcoming couldn't have been any better. Very clean, cosy boutique hotel close to amenities but at the same time relaxing and quite.

Due to personal reasons I can only say that I look back to those days I spent there and the think of them as the best holidays I have had in my life so far...The perfect location...with friends and being in love!...Couldnt ask for more - Thanks to the staff

  • Liked — Cosy, clean, friendly
  • Disliked — The sound of the air passing through door...due to the windy period!

The Palladium Hotel is just beautiful, it is the first hotel we've stayed in that truly lives up to the photos on it's web-site. It sits, terraced, on a hill side an easy 10 minute down to sea.

The highly professional staff are attentive, but not overly so. The twice-a-day maid service takes place invisibly and we were always delighted to return to our freshly cleaned room, with it's new towels and bed linen.

The breakfast is served on a lovely terrace with sea views and there's a wide selection of english and continental, hot and cold, foods - accompanied by a complimentary glass of bucks fizz.

The out door space is larger than it appears on the photos and the pool was a good size although a little chilly at the end of season!

The rooms are huge and spotlessly clean. We loved the netted four poster bed and the flat screen TV. If you can get a room with a private jacuzzi, we highly recommended it.

There is a bus service running every half an hour that will take you into Mykonos town, otherwise the front desk staff are happy to arrange a taxi for a fare of 6 euros. The hotel is far enough away from Mykonos Town not to be bothered by crowds and noise but close enough to visit - a 15 minute bus ride at most.

We would also recommend the 'Greek Night' at the local Blue Myth restaurant which unlike similar nights we've been on, was not at all cheesy The atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful - try the Fantasia Salad.

Our thanks to all the staff at The Palladium for making our stay so special. We will be back.

A wonderful find - The name put us off, but the Tripadvisor reviews sold us! We arrived as sorry looking XL customers who had lost our flights on the 12th - managed to secure other flights at great expense, but the hotel had upgraded our room to a Deluxe Junior Suite, with a hot tub on the terrace (its the room on the website!) The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, lovely breakfasts each morning, beautifully clean rooms and a nice pool area, with good pool service and nice lunches. Overall I think Mykonos is a "rip off" - West End restaurant prices, but not the levels of service and expectations that warrant these prices.
The nicest restaurant was on the beach at Platis Gialos, the very last restaurant on the left if you enter from the main road and the little restaurant (looks like a cafe) close to the hotel. Mykonos Town is a nice visit, but be prepared to pay the price for being there. Nice bar on the harbour, for lunch - got terribly drunk on FREE greek liquer, but that was because we had spent so much on lunch! Fab little beach at Psarou, but steep climb up and down - beware. Lovely holiday though after a very difficult start - but up yours XL. Just hoping ATOL return our flight costs!!!! Maria at the Hotel is a little star and Panayotis, I love him!!!

  • Liked — The size and the hot tub!
  • Disliked — Horrible smell from a drain in the bathroom!nYUK

My friends and I stayed at the Palladium Hotel in September 2008 and it was a fantastic place with breath taking-views of the local beaches and alluring Aegean Sea.

The hotel staff from management to employees was extremely courteous, friendly, and most importantly, went well above and beyond to ensure our needs were taken care of and that we were very comfortable.

The rooms were in excellent condition and moderately priced considering all of the amenities that were included, such as but not limited to, transportation to and from the airport, double turn down service, fresh fruit & chocolates and a complimentary drink upon arrival. Additionally, the rooms were very quiet, clean, modern, private, and extremely comfortable; the room service and maid service was also first rate and I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my close friends and family.

Our hotel dining experience was a real treat and the food, service, and overall delivery was impeccable!

The hotel is located about two kilometers from the center of town, but there is a convenient bus or ferry service located a few hundred feet away if you would like to check out the many interesting sights Mykonos has to offer.

There is a well-maintained pool, hot tub, and fitness center located on site and it is meticulously laid out among beautiful palms and a host of exotic plants.

Maria, the hotel manager, exhibited outstanding customer service and attention to detail. She was attentive to our needs, extremely helpful, and also, ensured that either she or the hotel staff were equipped to handle any number of our special requests. Great team effort!

Lastly, my friends and I had a memorable vacation this year and our stay at the Palladium Hotel was on of the many highlights of our trip.

Great job Palladium staff and management team and thanks so much for making our vacation so memorable!

  • Liked — The entire experience including hotel service, staff, accommodations, location, and dining experience.

We have just returned from our holidays in Mykonos and we feel that words are not enough to describe our impressions of this place. We have stayed at the Palladium last year but our experience this year was completely different. The hotel has been renovated and utterly changed. Our reservation was for a double sea view room but we were upgraded to a junior suite on the top floor of the hotel with modern, yet stylish decoration and a big terrace with spectacular view. The staff with no exception were all fantastic.Friendly and always helpful they made it hard to leave their facilities to walk around the island. The food quality and variation was great in both the breakfast area and the restaurant.Overall we feel that this hotel leaves no room for complaints. We will definitely be there next year also!
