“View and salt water pool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Our room was nice with good view of water . Not only the beautiful aegan but a salt water pool. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Two thing to be aware of. No free wifi but computer in lobby usually available. Lunges at beaches are not free but are free at poolside.

Poolside bar reasonable and staff very friendly and quick.

Our per arranged pick,up at the superset site did not show up but the hotel sent their van whenwe called. Just an indication of the quality of,the service

Ther e are enough to walk to,but you will, need transportation, bus very near,to get to,other parts of the island. We just want to,relax poolside for the 3 days we were there so it was not a problem for us

Room Tip: All,room have good views

LOCATION:
Ideal for: away from main town but at an amazing popular beach; hourly and half hourly buses to town; mini marts available for food and beach stuff.
Bar on beach is very handy, lovely view and music (not loud but very pleasant).
Mykonos has become more expensive over the years and is one of the most expensive Greek islands so do ensure enough Euros or cash is taken.
HOTEL:
Rooms: very clean and so are the hotel grounds eg Pool. Little outdated in main areas eg Restaurant. My room was small but comfortable but facing the hotel entrance and road - noisy.
Food: good breakfast with varieties of cereals, breads, proteins & fruits. Evening meals fresher and better at Mykonos town and cheaper.
STAFF:
General reception, cleaners etc very accommodating. All speak English to good proficiency.
Displeased with unwanted knock at my room at 11pm on two occasions from one member of staff – this was not acceptable purely because I was a female solo traveler and had conversations with the staff at the bar. My room is my privacy. Male Manager also at times provided more attention than was comfortable.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! I was very clean and the hotel staff was so helpful!!! The sun beds were great. This hotels restaurant was good but there are lots of options along the beach too. Right on the beach!!! I would stay here again.

myself and my partner didn`t really fancy mykonos but we said why not, we stayed at the mykonos palace what a lovelly place, the staff were great and very helpful especially marina, hope and dennis, the food at the restaunt really lovelly and the restaurant staff lovelly and pleasant, especially the head waiter from albania(sorry forgot our name), the only 2 bad things to mention is the sun shades could do with being higher as my other half caught their head on the side and cut it when getting up from the sun bed and the other that really got me mad was the waitress at the ostria pool bar, we ordered drinks and no change was given or even mentioned, although it was only 2-3 euro`s and it would of been given as a tip anyway as everyone works hard there at the palace but we were avoided by her and i was brought up with manners and decency and not to assume to keep the change.

Room Tip: dont have one on the front as can get noisy from the traffic

We were among the first guest to arrive at the hotel for the new season, the hotel, resort and island were fairly quiet which is exactly the way we like it and the reason we went early in the season.
It would be impossible to find a negative with this hotel or the staff. The hotel is well maintained, bright, airy and very well managed. All the staff were excelllent, they made us very welcome and the service was second to none. The bedrooms were clean, smart and a reasonable size and the towels changed daily. There was a good selection for breakfast which was well presented and supplies were more than sufficient. The pool is a little small but then the hotel is right on the beach in an lovely position. Fully recommended but go either early or late season to avoid the crowds, this applies to the whole island not solely this hotel. A huge thank you to all the staff at the Mykonos Palace beach hotel for ensuring our holiday was so enjoyable.

I spent three weeks last September at the Mykonos Palace Beach Hotel and it was one of the finest vacations I have had on that island, which I have been visiting for almost 20 years. The hotel is right on the Platys Gialos Beach, one of the most beautiful on the island. Buses run every 20 minutes to Mykonos Town and the trip is about 15 minutes. Costis, the manager, is fluent in English and a few other languages and is very personable and accommodating. He had many suggestions to enrich my stay. The hotel restaurant is managed by Socrates, who arranged for me to have wine at a table he and his staff placed in the sea. See photos below. My favorite waitress, Katerina, looked after me and suggested the tastiest food of the day. I could not have had a better time. I am a novelist and wrote one book set on Mykonos. Its title is "A Lone Red Apple." My second novel is set on the island of Crete, but has scenes of Mykonos as well, because I just cannot separate myself from this island. Please visit my website at www.mysteriesofcrete.com The website has scenes from Mykonos as well as Crete.

Room Tip: You will have a choice of rooms in the hotel and by the pool. The steps are not steep, but if pref...

This Hotel is seafront. The place and the beach, platys gialos is magical. But the hotel is really really old with his rooms. The rooms in the main building upstairs have a fantastic terrace. But thats it. The restaurant has all the years the same and the same food. From there you can take the bus which takes arround 15 minutes into town. Busstation and Hotel are 2 min beach walk. Watersports right infron of the Hotel and a great restaurant next door which is called Bonatsa

Room Tip: Ask for main building room 144 if I remember right!
