From the time when the doors in my room were opened to the terrace I started simply adore this place. The room had perfect view to the sea and the Mykonos Palace was more than just the ideal location for an enjoyable vacation for me. Above all, it’s a magic place with unimaginable natural beauty of flowers around the hotel, plenty of light, hospitable staff, unique tastes of Notos restaurant.
I definatly will recommend to Mykonos Palase to my friends and will try to visit such nice island again.

The hotel is directly on the beach, as is the open-air dining room. Our room was modest but comfortable.Staff extremely helpful Location not ideal - cab needed to get to Mykonos town. But the town is a delight, a maze of twisting, narrow streets studded with offbeat shops and every conceivable type of restaurants. Watch your footing, though. Very few streets are smoothly paved, most just rocks set in cement.

We found it hard to really like this hotel, and we so wanted to! We would also have to agree with others that say it isn’t a 4-star. For Greek Islands it’s a 2/3-star. Having said that we got the hotel at a great low price and we just wanted a base for the week so we’ve rated it based on that.

On the plus side the hotel is right on the lovely Platis Gialos beach and our room was large, kept clean and tidy, everything worked and it was right by the pool, although the beds were very hard and not very comfortable. We only ate at the restaurant once and the food was delicious, albeit a little pricey. There was a free room safe for valuables too.

On the down side the breakfast was very basic and lacked variety even for a 2/3-star and the next Ice Age is likely to arrive before the toaster browns any bread for you. It’s often windy in Mykonos and the pool’s location meant it’s not protected enough so while we were there you couldn’t really lay by it comfortably. The service was quite ‘stand off-ish’ which is not typical in Greece so it didn’t feel very welcoming. We were also charged 28 Euros in total for transfers to and from the airport on their own hotel mini-bus, which again is not typical for other hotels in this location, most of which are free.

The biggest disappointment for us was that we informed the hotel prior to our visit that it was our wedding anniversary and Nikki’s birthday during our stay there and yet they made no attempt to make it special for us. In fact, it was never mentioned the whole time we were there! We ate out on that evening at the Avli Tou Thodori restaurant just along the beach and the welcome and attention we received on our special day was, in stark contrast, absolutely fantastic and made our day (see out separate review of Avli).

My husband and I travelled to Mykonos in September. The Hotel has a great location and sells the idea of a private beach. What they don't disclose is that you need to pay to enjoy the loungers on the beach. The room has no natural light or ventilation. We had no hot water in our bathroom for the 4 days that we stayed here. The service was average with most staff giving you the impression that they were tired from the long season and would rather be somewhere else. They do provide beach towels but run out by 11am already. There was only one out of 4 front office staff members that was very helpful during our stay. I would not recommend this hotel.
