I wish we had timed our visit better to the train to have eaten twice at the Bistro at the Falls - just up the road - the Waikino Cafe was very busy and although it had some good things on the blackboard and some well-,meaning staff, It could have been so much more.eg. with a bit more attention to detail around the gardens, the organisation in the kitchen and around the back of the sation cafe, the first impressions could have been much stronger. Signage around the place looked tired and so did the paintwork. Having said that, the food was fair and again, the staff were doing the best they could with the numbers they had available. We did visit on a very busy day.
