After doing a good amount of research about this place, I decided to stay here for three days with my kids and wife, and I greatly appreciate myself for that right decision. It was a perfect place for my kids. Thanks to the entertainment staff at the kids club who kept the kids amused all day long. The room we stayed in was large, clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. It had lots of varieties in it. There was not a single meal that we disliked at this place. I also loved the fact that a short walk would take us to the nearby beach resort.

Am very shocked after reading recent reviews as didn't have any problems with this hotel. This was our first family holiday aboard and we travelled with a 2 year old and 9 month old and loved every minute of it! Our room was lovely and clean and even when we didn't leave the towels in the bath they were change and found the maids very polite. The mini club staff were wonderful and made lots of effort with all the children and remembered each childs name even when they didn't attend the day club as my two were to young. The entertainment staff were wonderful and put on a fab show every night which can beat some of the entertainment you get in bristish holiday camps! Found the food was generally the same each day but having down a few all inclusives in other countries this is the norm, but never had a bad meal. Also found the waitress polite and would help when i asked for things. Would fully recomend this hotel for families and is right on the beach which i found to be very nice just be careful as the sun loungers are 7 euros and umbrellas are 1 but thats nothing to do with the hotel. The hotel is also a short 10 minute walk into the main town of Playa d'en Bossa which is good for souvenir shopping! I can't wiat to go back and i never usually return to a place!

we arrived at the hotel about 10am our rooms were ready upon arrival. we were greeted by very friendly hotel staff that could not do enough to help us. Wehad booked the hotel as we were renewing our wedding vows and Karen from guest services was absolutly brilliant she organised everything right down to the smallest detail. We had a small problem with the room but was moved immediatly. The food was lovely loads of choice everyday so glad we went all inclusive the vodka lemon is a must. The all inclusive is brilliant for the kids as much ice cream, drinks, hot dogs, burgers and chips as they can eat. There is plenty of entertainment daytime and evening and all the entertainment staff are very friendly. I was extremly impressed with how clean and fresh smelling the hotel is the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. the only down side we found was there seemed to be a large group of Germans staying who liked to cause trouble early in the morning and were quit ignorant (but I suppose that's germans for you) The hotel staff did address the trouble they were causing and did solve the problems I think it went something like "either behave yourself or your out". we will definatly be back to this hotel

2euros a day per beach towel. 10eur deposit at from desk to receive your tv's remote. no elevator. understaffed. salty, gross tapwater and shower water. These are a few of the problems with Club Bahamas. It's located on the south end of Playa d'en bossa which is a very average beach by Ibiza standards. It's close to the airport and some of the clubs, but it's hardly worth it.

The worst part about my recent 3 night stay is that around 7pm every night this god awful sewage smell would envelop onto the resort and it'd REEK. The most rancid smell you could imagine at times. At night I couldn't open my sliding door to the balcony because it was so rancid. The desk claimed it was nothing at first, then tried saying it was the "weather." I hate being lied to. I honestly don't know if the smell is permanent, but it was seriously awful at times.

Breakfast is ok. Lunch is bad. Dinner is decent. They provide beverages for you in the morning, but you have to pay for all drinks (yes, even water) for lunch and dinner. I tried bringing in my own bottled water and they told me to put it away!

I found the staff standoffish. Not rude, but not too welcoming. Like I mentioned before they seem to try shaking you down for expenses left and right. They do have a concierge there most nights to book club tickets or recommend options. The location is decent, but not great. I should mention its good for families with kids. They have an arcade with billiards and ping pong, 2 pools, and activities for kids. Not a good place for couples.

I will never return.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your opinions about our hotel. In general most of our guests are highly satisfied with Hotel club Bahamas Ibiza and we are very sorry that you were disappointed with certain aspects of our service. We take note of all comments and complaints in order to be able to improve. We would like to take this opportunity to comment and expand on your comments about the smell: Over some days during your stay there was indeed a foul smell in the area. This emanated from the public underground sewage system whose pipes run close to the hotel but are not on hotel property. The smell was weather related, having been caused by precipitation and a build up of stagnant water which was accentuated by the wind. We have been in touch with the Town Hall and the local Government Authorities to have them rectify the situation and shall continue to insist that action be taken.

Once again thank you for visiting and sharing your experience

Hotel Club Bahamas ended up being a disappointing choice on my recent trip to Ibiza. What promised to be a 3 star hotel ended up being a two star at best. Throughout the day the disgusting smell of raw sewage would fill the resort. So much that it made it impossible to enjoy the balcony of the hotel room. Also, the hotel room showers only provided scalding hot or freezing salt water. It made it incredibly uncomfortable to bath and feel clean. Also the hotel nickled and dimed you for everything. The remote control to the tv in your room was a 10 euro deposit. The pool towels were a 10 euro deposit each. It seemed like the hotel was trying to cut corners and sucks as much money out of their guests as possible.

Dear sir

We are really sorry mainly for the smell inconvenience, but this situation is causing big problems not only to the hotel but also to all the neighbours around the area. It seems that a general tube of the streets is stuck. We feel shame because it out of our hands to resolve this as soon as we can (imagine if we have this problem all year, surely all our clients will be gone!!).
More over the salty water, is also no in our hands. The end of playa den bossa beach has and old system of water and the local company knows it. we know its a big inconvenience to wash yourself with that kind of water, but no only happens in the hotel, happens in all the area of San Jordi.
In regards to the 10€ deposit, please do not forget they are refundable. Unfortunately some clients forget to give the towels or remote back (they simply dissapear...) so that its why we as for a guarantee.

Regardless all of this things we would like to thank you for staying in our hotel, hoping that if you visit us next time, you will have a better experience.

Best regards

Having read some of the review on Club Bahamas and just returned from there I can see why there are some mixed thoughts. For a family with very active children looking for a noisy holiday i would recommend it. For anyone else however i would really not.

I visited the hotel with my sister and so we thought, had fully paid for our trip in April. Upon arrival late at night tired from travelling we were informed we hadn't been charged and that the full amount was due before we could check in. Having left most of my credit cards at home, worried of 'expensive' Ibiza, we had to leave the hotel to walk in search of an ATM to take cash from, in the middle of the night in a strange country, with no help from the hotel staff as to where we might find this. There was no apology from the hotel for the duration of our stay for this mistake, although the reception admitted it was their mistake with the card.

Once checked in the plus points were that the rooms were lovely, very clean and cleaned every day. These are the only good points I can give the hotel. After mixing up our booking we were told no one was available to help with our luggage although there were several men behind the desk and on site and we are too small females!! Hauled our cases up the six flights of stairs (no lift) and saw various other families with buggies and elderly visitors doing the same during our stay.

The issue about the saltwater in the shower being a feature of Ibiza is a complete myth. Friends in the nearby Garbi and Jet complexes had perfectly normal water in their hotels, the Bahamas does not due to its proximity to the beach. You CANNOT brush your teeth with this water although the hotel insists on charging for bottled water. The pool is indeed freezing and below an acceptable temperature for swimming, parents with little ones beware! Myself and my sister both returned with heavy colds as a result, as i've seen other people mention in reviews on the hotel.

The most disturbing thing about the Bahamas is the attitude of the staff. I speak fluent Spanish unknown obviously to the staff, thus was able to understand their comments on guests and rude manner. I was short changed at the bar 3 times when i presented a 5 euro note asking for change to buy water in the machines, and was given 4 coins in return. That doesn't add up! I thought it was a coincidence the first time but after that it was obvious it was not.

We went for the bed & breakfast option and were so delighted as the breakfast options are cheap and sugary, even the fruit is served in syrup. Was dying for a banana or a normal cup of tea by the end of the week! We spend most nights in beautiful Ibiza town which is a short bus ride away (costs 1.50 just take the 14 into Evissa town) which has the most amazing tapas bars and restaurants. The staff in Ibiza town in every shop and bar are in stark contrast to the staff in the Bahamas. We told other people how rude we found them and apparently it's well known about the hotel. We almost got the impression the Bahamas tries to put off people without children staying there, although we are in our thirties.

Upon checking out we didn't even get a 'thank you' for staying or again any apology for the hassle caused to us. I would not recommend the Bahamas to anyone, I'll be back in Ibiza shortly and will be staying in the nearby Jet complex which is 1/4 the cost per night.

Dear

Thank you for sharing your experience, every word is valuable for us. We would also like to reply some point about your review, because we will like you to understand us:

- Any reservation online (apart from a Tour Operator reservation) must be paid upon arrival. It clearly says in the terms & conditions.

- The water: we are really sorry. We have contact many times the the water company but the end area of playa den bossa is like that.

About the rude staff: We fell really sorry you had the experience of a rude service because one of the most positive things is our friendly and attentive staff , which is always a point of reference among our guest.

Finally our entertainment team is also one of the best points we have at the hotel; but with yout valuable opinion we will make sure "non family holiday makers" will also have a wonderful time with fun and sporty activities.

I hope you can visit us in another time, to have the opportunity to change your mind!
best regards
