Booked in on Friday afternoon, left on Monday evening. The hotel is well situated right on the beach, 5 mins walk from Bora Bora. 15 mins walk away from Space and Ushuaia. Was on holiday with a group of 10 on a All Inclusive package. Found the hotel to be clean and well managed. Food was of the buffet style. Could be a little repetitive if you only like one type of food. If you choose diff combos then its good european fayre. The drink was standard all inclusive selection, vodka, beer etc. Good reception areas. The pool area was very good with some great music and one step away from the sandy beach. If you want high end glitz n glamour, this is not for you. If you want a well catered hotel at a good price in a fab location, this is a great choice. Second time here for some of our group. I'm definitely coming back next year :oD

Good points: very few, other than being able to check in before 2 pm. This is a very tired hotel. Hard beds, large cracks in the bathroom, sink not cleaned, bins not emptied for the whole 3 days we were there. Sun loungers tatty and dirty. Pool area dirty, peeling paint, poorly maintained walkways. Tables near the sun beds actually black from cigarette ash and not being cleaned nor repainted for years by the look of it. WiFi hotspot near the reception pathetic. Even when paying for WiFi, service no better. Irons available, but €1 per hour plus €20 deposit, no boards though. Safe deposit box €4 per day. Elevators tiny, hot and felt totally unsafe, avoided one the whole time we were there. Stupid process of having to visit reception each morning to get a wristband for breakfast which resulted in checking a list to ensure eligible for breakfast, put on a wristband and then go the restaurant for breakfast. Why not check the list at the entrance to the restaurant? Food selection poor, fried eggs cold, scrambled eggs looked like the most unappetising mess of grey/yellow lumps.

Didn't even buy a drink at the bar, basically because never saw it staffed, but plenty of machines for water and soft drinks litter the main area.

Street hawkers allowed to wander continually around the hotel grounds trying to sell their wares. Shouldn't be allowed on hotel premises, there's enough of them on the street haranguing you as soon as you leave the hotel.

Entertainment options listed, never attended any as the example around the pool resulted in someone putting on loud music on the stage, pointing a speaker towards the pool and walking away!

Area surrounded by tacky souvenir shops, bars and clubs. Benidorm may have a poor reputation, but it's far better then here, trust me.

Walk to the next hotel and wow what a difference, go try the Hotel Garbi would be my recommendation.

I stayed at the Algarb hotel during my recent trip to Ibiza. Although it is not like a five-star, branded chain of hotel, it is in the prime location, right on the playa d'en bossa beach area. The hotel prices in the whole area are steep (ofcourse as its tourisitc). The rooms are very spacious, great view of the sea and the beach. The hotel is very close to supermarkets, ATMs (this is the most desired thing...an atm), clubs and roadside bars. It is also close of some prominent landmarks from where there are free buses to ibiza town (major clubs are there). Overall, a good and recommendable stay!

Room Tip: Take the beach facing room....preferably 6th or higher floors.

I came as a party of 6 for a birthday, we checked in quiet late, so staff were a bit eurghh about us turning up as it was, so mot a great start! After we made a way up to our rooms, I couldnt quite get a look around as it was very dark, but from what I could see the lobby area and bar area looks very dated and in need of a lick of paint!
Once we arrived to our room, we happened to be the odd room out of our group that had the second floor were as the rest had the fourth floor! Further to this disappointment, we had a god awful veiw of the bin yard on our balcany, which came smells ive never experienced! So ofd I went to reception were I was reassured I would be moved to the fourth floor with the rest of my party, the next morning.
My first day exploring around the hotel was very boring I must say ! With cheap tatty gaming machines and very old furniture, never the less I was going to give the hotel the benifit of the doubt. Our party soon moved down by the pool area which is extremely inviting as its next to the sea great clean pool and a clean bar area. The only criticism I have for the pool area was the smell that wafted from behind the hotel towards the entrance of the beach area, which I can only descripe as a dreadful smell of faeces!
Never the less we carried on and got on with it!
The first coulple of days we met a few members of staff that really stood out to us that made our stay lovely! They were , Maria Jose, Ely from entertainments, Danilelia and a lady middle/ older aged dark/ brown hair from the bar team, and two lovely ladys from reception, one middle aged, blonde hair, and another midle/late aged women small brown hair.

The only recommends I have is the hotel get better waitress/ bar staff that want to be there and serve guests! More like Danilela alot less like Julian! Furthermore to use glasses in the salon bar!

The food !
Repetitive, bland and RAW!
Although the food was very nice on occations, our party got sick of eating the same stuff over and over, and to make things worse, we were served chicken from kabab night which had literally barley been sealed! We took this food to the gentleman who was greatong people on the door, he just shrugged it off and told us to simply get some more, he obviously didnt understand the severity of the situation, the the person in our party who was about to eat this is 6 months pregant! Once again we just carried on as normal!
So anothet recommendation is to cook food throughly and safely.

Next the entertainment, boring, unrehearsed, in effect bodged togeather because they have to! I totally love the energy, but theres not professionalism about it , its just somebody in fancy dress dancing to themed music ! Give a little spruse!

And last but not least the hotel was clean, housekeeping were so lovely, pool area is great and some staff were on the ball! The Algarb has massive potential, use it!!! This plavce could be a 5* if the right care and attention was put in, in specific places. Thank you algarb and the staff mentioned, but I wont be seeing you anytime soon !!

We stayed here during the month of June 2013 for an amazing price of 128 euro for 4 NIGHTS!!! I booked this through their own website and took the OK Bossa formula, which means you don't choose the hotel, just the location, being in Playa D'en Bossa. The hotel is a typical cheap seaside hotel in Ibiza, 3 stars, no frills, just a bed, clean room and bathroom. Don't go here when you need to sleep a lot, since this hotel is in the middle of the action and there's lots of party people staying there. We actually got more than we paid for, so I am not complaining at all.

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor, the seaview is amazing!

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews on here, I shouldn't have been and in future will take negative reviews with a pinch of salt. Some people just have to find something to moan about. The location of this hotel was awesome, right on the beach. The food was very good. The staff at this hotel are lovely genuine people, and do a grand job. Not once did we come across anyone that was rude or miserable, people should think about how they approach people. We travelled in April and the hotel was busy but never queued for drinks as the bar staff were efficient. The only queue was for the fresh pasta dishes and they were cooked to order. All I can say is the staff are a credit to the management of this hotel and we shall be returning again next year for another week. thank you!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view - that way you get to see the beach or if you ask for a street view you are ab...
