Stayed for a week in Sept 2011. Hotel is in a quiet location at one end of the resort but only 5-10 mins walk to the bars and restaurants and 10 mins walk from Space. The sea views are amazing! Hotel is very chilled and has an amazing outdoor restaurant - amazing setting, great food (not included in half board option). Pool is circular so not great for swimming but is set out over the sea so gets the sun until late in the day.

Have also stayed in Garbi Hotel but prefer Torre del Mar - it is less modern but has better rooms, better food & does not have large groups of English lads/girls shouting & screaming around the pool (which is not what you want when away with your girlfriend). This is a better hotel for couples. Garbi is better for groups.

The hotel is based on the end of the strip at Playa d'en Bossa. It has supermarket near by and you can walk to the beach in 2 mins. San Antonio is a 20 min taxi ride which cost 20-25 euros one way. The hotel itself is nice but outdated in the rooms. If you're not planning on spending much time at the hotel and want somewhere which is quiet and not full of ravers then this is the place for you. However if you're looking for a buzzing hotel with a good pool scene then you may want to try somewhere else.

We only tried breakfast which was included in our rate and it's very varied - continental and british.

I'd definitely recommend Playa d'en Bossa but maybe will stay in another hotel next time but only because I'd want somewhere more buzzing.

Having just returned I felt this hotel deserved a review, we arrived after a delayed flight very early in the morning. Travelling as a group we had a prompt check in, and we're in our rooms minutes after arrival, Juan in particular was very helpful.

The room was dated, as expected, but very clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool bar was lovely and the pool area nice and relaxing with great views of Playa den Bossa and Dalt Villa.

The pool (saltwater) was clean and well looked after, althought do not expect waiter service - if you want drinks you get the, yourself!

The breakfast buffet was ok, I'd say 3/5 - the toaster definitely needs replacing ad it just took forever to brown any bread, overall there was plenty of choice.

We used the hotel as a base as we like to visit beaches all over the island, the location is superb. A short walk from Figueretes and the nice restaurants, 15 minute walk to Bora Bora, Space etc the water ferry to Ibiza town is super, goes from the den Bossa jetty just outside the hotel perimeter and at €3.50 one way was good value for a more Eco-friendly method of transport,

Although we did not hire a car, the hotel has a large car park and can organise a vehicle for you for a day or more if you wish.

The reception staff were extremely helpful, changing large notes happily, calling taxis, making reservations for us and calling ahead at some of the beaches we visited to check for jellyfish for us!

There is a taxi rank outside the sirenis - a 2 minute walk away - most times taxis were waiting, however Saturday nights allow a lot of extra waiting time or ask the hotel to book for you!

The drinks in the hotel are Expensive, but no more so than anywhere else in Ibiza. One word of warning to save yourself embarrassment - don't try and take food from the breakfast buffet with you - we saw several people stopped for taking fruit with them! Personally I don't see what the problem is and the fuss seemed unnecessary but they seemed pretty hot on it.

I understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment in 2012/13 - I hope they don't hike the prices too much as it would make this hotel too expensive for what/where it is without a major overhaul of all the internal areas which are very 80's in decor.

The walls were also very thin, not sure if is applies to all but I often woke up to next doors alarm clock! A sea view room is definitely worth extra for the stunning views and a quieter nights sleep.

Room service ordered once, wouldn't recommend it! This hotel is not renowned for its food - maybe this is something they could rectify as they have a nice restaurant with good views.

Not many children here - nor would I recommend it for them -absolutely nothing for them to do.

I would recommend this hotel as being in a good location to access Ibiza's hotspots for couples and groups.

The hotel was outdated in every way. The lobby, dining areas, room, etc. The decor of marble and gold made my stomach turn. The rooms were average size but the comforters looked disgusting and as if they haven't been washed in months. The bathroom was fairly clean but very old and the amenities were sub par. These provide communal soap/shampoo and no lotion. The soap stinks. They charge you for using the safe in your room. They also give you a towel card for the pool. If you dont return the card once you check out, they'll charge you as well. If you want ice for your room, you have to get it from the pool bar... and guess what... they charge you for that too! We witnessed a front desk attendant yell at a guest. It was appalling how he treated him.

The only great thing about our stay here was the view (water was right below us) and the location. It was central to a bunch of restaurants with easy access to the beach. The "hopeful" part of this review is that the hotel is going to go thru a huge remodel in 2013. I saw the brochures and even passed by the model room. It was modern and chic.
