Interesting , and nice restaurant to have a meal. All the individual rooms were full of interesting items to look at.

“Subterranean home in lava bubbles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

César Manrique has left his mark on Lanzarote, not only because his campaign for traditional building methods and ban on advertising billboards, but also because of his giant sculptures on roundabouts. His house, especially the subterranean rooms in the air bubbles left behind by lava flows, are really worth visiting!

“Breathtaking artistic influences”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

An amazing centre for the continued work of a fantastic artist and sculptor. Manrique's has influenced Lanzarote in such a positive way in the form of no over development or high rise blocks. This is very welcome and it isn't until you reflect that you realise you don't see ant horrendous billboards and advertising hoardings either. The foundation is a tribute to Manrique and both his artistic ability and his love of the striking Lanzarote tundra. Save your euros as the souvenir shop sells wonderful jewellery, posters and tiles. Very reasonable price for entrance and the wonderful gifts too

“What a house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

The excentric artist Cesar manriques house is amazing and well worth a visit, there is a small gallery too displaying works by Manrique and others including Picasso. stop here for interior design inspiration.

“Ingenious and inspiring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

Well worth a visit even for 8 euros which keeps the Foundation going as they do not, I believe receive any government funding. Comprehensive information via leaflets, films, photos and seeing the house itself. Shame the upstairs is just a gallery now - it would be so much more interesting to see it with the original furniture in it; if you watch the film on the way out, you get to see Cesar in all the rooms, the pool and at various parties; this brings the rather sterile exhibited house alive and gives one a sense of how it was inhabited by the man and his friends.
