“Comfortable and very affordable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

Great staff very helpful ESP when we had our flights canceled and had to stay an extra 2 nights. Very accommodating, clean fully equipped apartments and spacious. Large pool area never a problem getting a bed even in the afternoon and a great new gym on site!

Our fourth stay at the Santa Rosa. Excellent as always, We stayed a week from end of May to the start of June, great staff, great facilities (although charges for the new gym are on the steep side) really enjoyed our stay.

we have just come back from these fab apartments and can not rate them highly enough! They are perfect for families with young children -

We asked for a bungalow round the pool and we got this - it was fab although if you dont want people walking past then you may prefer one around the back of the complex.

Reception staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and they were very knowledgable about the Island

Pool area - spotless and plenty of sun beds which makes a change! The only down side was the pool was freezing but my children went in the baby pool - as did all the children - because it was warm

Entertainment - FANTASTIC - Rosemary was a STAR - i didnt really want my children to go to the club but they couldn't stay away! And our whole holiday revolved around the mini disco!!! If the weather is mixed - as it was - there is plenty to do, Bowling, mini golf, tennis, indoor pool (To pay for), Children's play gym, day and evening entertainment........

Apartment - spotless, basic but with everything you needed for self catering

Food - we were self catering but we bought a special deal where we could have three evening meals and three breakfasts for a really cheap price. We wouldn't have wanted to eat here every night but the menu is varied and they had themed evenings such as Canary nights and Mexican night!

Resort - was a good twenty min walk (with children) and the beach is gorgeous - if not a little windy - we mainly stayed around the hotel as there were a good selection of bars and restaurants across the road.

All in all a fantastic place - anybody who complains is too fussy! For the price - you get what you pay for! Would go back!

We stayed here with 1 Adult and 2 children in a 2 bedroom bungalow. We stayed a week from end of May to the start of June. We went to the kids club and found Rosemary especially friendly and fun. The reception staff were also very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was nice and so was the pool bar. The only downside was the swimming pool ,which very cold! The view was lovely but the wifi was only in a few places including, the bowling alley and pool bar. We went halfboard which was a very reasonable price ( 9 euros for adults and 4.50 euros for the 1st child and the second is free).

Just back from our fourth stay at the Santa Rosa with family. It is as others say basic accommodation but is clean and all the staff are pleasant and helpful. Our apartment did have a chopping board and an electric kettle and toaster which was fine for breakfast or lunch. They also have hair dryers which you can rent for 50cents a night. Indoor bowling alley is excellent value at one euro 50 per game. An indoor pool has just been added and costs 3 euros per visit. Lots of decent restaurants within a five minute walk also bars and a couple of supermarkets.

These apartments are very basic we only paid £1500 for 2 adults and 2 children for a 2 Bedroom Apartment for 2 weeks from the end of May 2013 into June and I don't think it would have been worth much more I have stayed in far better. If you are wanting an apartment around the pool or with a view do this with your travel company as we emailed the hotel direct and they ignored are request. In this complex there is a lot of retired tourists from main land Spain and it appears they get the priority also there is an additional block which is privately owned like time shares who have their own pool etc. There was a lot of moving apartments going on as people weren't happy. I can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't use it, the kids club (Rosemary is lovely) bowling alley and pool are great but the whole complex/bars etc closes at 11pm or earlier if they can get away with it. The only other big problems were ANTS I appreciate you have to expect these aboard but when your toothbrush is covered in them when its in a case its pretty bad in particular bad in the bathroom and kitchen. For places to eat I can recommend the Waterfront Bar on the front and also the Express Takeaway which is just over the road from the Santa Rose which is excellent value for money and the food is lovely. Overall we enjoyed are holiday but it would not be somewhere we would return to.

Room Tip: The apartments around the back are a lot quieter and do get the sun all day the only down side is th...

We booked 10 days here primarily based on the good reviews received on this website. We were a little confused as to how it is normally #1 and consistently gets 5* reviews - not that there is anything negative about the place, but you get what you pay for. Apartments are basic: cannot call them self-catering - very basic utensils (no chopping board or electric kettle) and only two rings and a microwave. Bathroom was quite tatty and worn out. English channels but on a miniture TV with very poor picture (maybe used to a massive plasma with HD!!). Plenty of loungers round the pool (which is cold as everyone states). Slightly disappointed that we'd asked for a pool view, but got a view of the new indoor pool and main road at back of the complex. Did not eat in the restaurant, but the bar was nice with a friendly German barman.
Complex is split into 2 - one side for time-share type apartments and normal guests are not welcome (nice that there is a class division!!).
All in all perfectly acceptable as a cheap option. Although nothing (in my opinion) to warrant a 4 or 5 star rating.
