We stayed in Los Zocos for 2 weeks fully inclusive. Like other people, I read all the reveiws & was really dreading our holiday. I have 3 kids 15yr, 12yr and 7yr old. When we arrived in the Reception, we were given our welcome packs, cards etc. but actually told very little about the Complex. So tt is well worth attending the First Choice Welcome meeting (thank you Clare & Andrea!). The girls are honest & very helpful. The First Choice Kids Club is brilliant - cant praise the team enough for how well they entertain all the small kids. Also the Animation Team around the pool area do a great job entertaining the teenagers!
The downsides: queuing every morning. If you sleep in, your goosed! Queuing to sign up for the kids club, queuing to book the restaurant for the evening meal, queuing for the sun beds etc etc.
Also, we did experience cockroaches! Sorry for the squemish reading this, they were in the cavities of our bedroom wall and actually managed to come through the light fitting overhead the bed.. Had to go twice to Reception to get this sorted..
The nightly entertainment is very bad in the bar. Only that our kids had all made pals & wanted to hang around, we would have gone elsewhere at nighttime.
Do visit Cactus Jacks and Legends.. great food and great entertainment..Would we go back, I really dont know.. for the majority of the holiday, we loved it.. but the cockroaches...!!

Do not believe all the negative reviews we have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday, were in a group of 12, 6 kids aged 8 to 4 and 6 adults and we had a fantastic holiday throughly enjoyed it and totally recommend it to anyone.

The resort was clean and well maintained every morning the pools and surrounding areas are cleaned. The pools are not cold, who needs a hot pool when it is 40 degrees outside it is a relief to get into the water and cool down, our kids spent all day in and out of them. The food is great yes it gets a bit repetitive but when you are not paying for the meals whos to moan. I am a coeliac and have a restricted diet and I was worried before we went about finding food I could eat I should not have worried as the selction was great always found something that was ok for my diet.

The only downfall is the evening entertainment it is pretty poor, the kids disco is the same format every night and you do get sick of the same songs, so we ended up going out of the resort some nights especially when the kids were in the kids clubs.
The kids clubs are great and the reps fantastic more than happy to help and brilliant with the children, we are going to go back as we had such a great time and we were totally relaxed by the time we got home.

This was not the 1st time we had been here at Los Zocos, we liked it so much the previous times we wanted to go back again. We booked this through First Choice but I had emailed the hotel 7 days before to ask if I could have one of the new rooms, we were lucky to have one of the newly decorated rooms and that was great. Now the rest of the holiday... We arrived at the hotel 12pm so after a long day we thought we would go get some lunch, it was like a ghost town, no one by pool, and probably 4 people sitting at tables.. so we tucked in to the food, I am a fussy eater but the food is a lot better here than I have had in other hotels. The food is not signed up though and there is no one about to ask, I am a vegetarian so made it a bit awkward sometimes.

The football area was well worn and torn a felt kind of material turned back and hazzadous, it wasnt like this so maintanence had not been done, Childrens club is Ideal for small kids up to age 9. They do try and pull the adults in to the adult games, but to be honest they are boring. The evening entertainment was the same as 2 yrs ago and 2 yrs before that..same shows..so we were totally bored.

The Pools are FREEZING!!! so much nicer to swim in the sea.

My son had a bad accident at this hotel which was not his fault and was all down to the lack of maintanence so we spent the week 1st at hospital then back and forth the Free doctors(make sure you go to the doctors in the square NOT the first surgery on the corner as the one on the corner you have to pay for) I love Lanzarote, but I will NEVER go back to Los Zocos.

They spent so much time on doing up new rooms they forgot to keep the rest of the holiday area up to date.. its dangerous.

I have just returned from staying at the Los Zocos in Costa Teguise and want say what a brilliant two weeks we had. The kids club was clean and so much fun for my three young girls (age 1,3 and 3) The first choice reps were so friendy and helpful and we felt so comfortable leaving our children with them. Our two bedroom room was HUGE and perfect as once the children went to bed my husband and i could sit in the lounge or on the massive terrace. The rooms were cleaned 5 out of 7 days and the beds were always changed.
We were all inclusive also and because we went in June were able to eat dinner in the Boulevard as opposed to the dining room where breakfast and lunch was served. There was a great selection of foods and something different all the time. The staff were very friendly and there was always staff working around the hotel every day cleaning the pool, gardens etc.
I would certainly go back. The ONLY suggestion of improvement would be that if you did not want a drink in the entertainment room which can get rather loud another quiet perhaps outside area/bar to enjoy a glass of wine would make this hotel excellent and great value for money.
One last thing, i saw NO cockroaches and yes a few cats there but didn't even bother you.

My family and I stayed in Los Zocos in the first week of June. The hotel was GREAT, it was clean and well maintained. The Rooms were clean, spacious and beds were comfortable. The staff at the hotel was pleasant and worked extremely hard. My kids loved the pools even though they were cold, although I had a dip and I’m a wimp! The evening restaurant was lovely and food was fantastic, really good value for money. Breakfast was also great, with everything imaginable you would like for breakfast and you can eat all you want. Again, this was great value for money. Drinks were also very nice with loads to choose from on the all inc.
Lunch time was ok. The poolside snacks we're ok, but hardly worth it. The hotel bar and pool bar gave me the impression that i should be thankful for getting "Free" food/drink and believe that standards were low because we weren’t "paying" For example, drinks we're all inc up to 11pm. After this time i paid for the same drink and it was served in a nice glass, with decoration and i couldn't understand why more effort had gone into drinks paid for by cash rather than the all inc cards as we paid for the all inc cards!! This was really the only thing that hacked me off!
I do regret going All inc, as it limited us to just the hotel. The evening entertainment was really bad and we couldn't hack it! After a few days we decided to spend our evenings elsewhere so we didn't benefit from all inc drinks (Although my other half tried). We did eat at the restaurant every night (except one) the food was lovely, yes it was a little repetitive although still loads to choose from and we wanted to get our monies worth.
There are so many bars nearby that welcomed children so it wasn't difficult to find evening entertainment. On the occasions we did eat outside the hotel it cost us around 60euros for 3adult and 2 kids meals with a desert, and drinks are cheap enough if you go for local stuff. The location of the hotel was very good. Just a few min away from the beach and a beautiful beach at that! There's many bars and restaurants nearby, although the hotel is located away from lively activity which suited us perfectly.
There were many trips advertised by the reps, we took a few and i thought the trips were fantastic. There is so much to Lanzarote than just a beach holiday...
All in all, our holiday was great. We didn't pay too much for our holiday so was relieved the hotel was so pleasant. I would stay here again but defiantly not all inc. I would recommend B&B or half board. I also found out from another guest at the hotel that you can upgrade your board at the hote during your stay, for as many days as you want. this sound a good idea as it would offer more flexibility.
