“Clean and well looked after”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here as a couple at the end of February. When we arrived the appartment was ready so we went straight up.
The appartment was clean and quite obviously well looked after. There were ample supplies of cooking utensils that you'd need on holiday. The bathroom was clean with a supply of towels and the bedroom was spotless. Two single beds pushed together wasn't the best but its what we've come to expect when travelling abroad.
The staff were always polite and helpful whenever we wanted anything and always appeared pleased to see us.
The location was approx 15 minutes walk from the centre of Costa Teguise which we were aware of and that gave the added benefit of quieter surroundings and a taxi from the centre was only about £3 so no need to walk back at the end if the day.
A very nice quiet place to stay with friendly staff and clean surroundings. Just what you want when you're on your holiday. Would definitely recommend it and go back :-)

Stayed for 10 days, booked through Low Cost Packages.UK so knew it would not be 5*. Based upon Trip-Advisor comments asked for and paid upgrade to upper floor with balcony facing sea. Ended up on arrival with ground floor (724) but it did have a terrace which caught the morning sun ahd was large 2 bed. As we had hire car and went out each day this was OK but a bit miffed at paying for upgrade. Did not eat in - excellent Eurospar open until 2200 5 mins drive away and Lidl was our side of Arrecife. Staff on desk pleasant and spoke good English. Without car this hotel would be very negative, great as a quiet area of town for touring base. Pool cold but pretty, towels changed several times. Basic implements for cusine. Bedhead had a hole kicked in it, mould on curtains but biggest bugbear is the noise from above. One could hear the detailed events of people using the toilet or a chair movment. Lucky we only had one 0300 session above us.
Beware though of Hire Car. We booked ahead with TravelJigsaw, not the cheapest at £113, but they used Hertz and I thought we would be OK. Told we had CDW insurance but on arrival Hertz wanted a deposit of 700+ Euros and told us the UK insurance covered damage to other cars but not the hire car. Any chip, scratch or dent would result in payment up to the price of the deposit. We checked the car, a Seat Leon which was very beaten up, scratched to bare metal or black plastic etc. Our return was before Hertz opened and so the instructions were to leave the keys at the desk and they would check the car when they came to work and then refund the deposit if all was well. That seemed I was going to fund the renovation and so I was invited to pay another £72 to Hertz to pay 'local full CDW'. On reflection this seems a scam which one does not expect from Hertz so our advice would be to rent locally at Tabaiba whose prices seemed very fair.

Room Tip: Go for upper floor

Decent apartments, not a hotel as such in my opinion. If you hire a car or want to be well out of town it's a good choice. 1.5 miles to town and beaches, don't believe anything else as the sea is nearer but not the proper beaches. Decent continental breakfast, poor English fry up. Service and info very average. 4 euros taxi to town. If you've booked it don't panic it's fine and quiet but not really a hotel and well off the track.

Tranquility.. We returned from a wonderful relaxing holiday at Apartamentos Tabaiba at the end of January. A quiet resort with it's wonderful moorish- style turrets/ chimneys, give it a most pleasing aspect. For the walker it is at an ideal distance from the seafront, accessed by a choice of gently-sloping roads or by three scenic connecting gravel paths (each approx. 250M with two roadways) leading to the promenade and via this pleasant route, to resort/shop centres. For the cyclist, complex to the sea takes about five minutes via these paths. The reception staff are extraordinarily helpful and friendly and are always at your service to help with any information needed. There is night time security and every guest is given an outdoor gate key if returning late. The cleaning staff are very efficient and attentive. The apartments are very spacious, modern, well equipped, electric, kettle, ceramic hob, toaster and coffee machine. Many channels on the TV and the remote control costs €5 and is returned when returning the R.C. They serve a delicious pizza at the restaurant in nice surroundings. I being a chef tend to cook in the S.C. while abroad, sussing out local produce, which is excellent.... Especially the fresh fish.Provisioning is best from the Eurospar, a 15minute walk or a five minute cycle. Hyper Dino is equidistant in the other direction. If one wants to explore the other resorts the bus stop is just up the road from the H.D.Bicycles can be rented at Tabaiba or at Planet Bikes from Willie in the resort centre. Being at a very manageable distance from the seafront and resort centre, the price is competitive and the standard is thus all the higher resulting in unusually good value. Morning bread and pastries can be bought at the small bakery beside Hiper Dino and much better quality than the supermarkets. No hotel pool can match the sea swimming, in any season. The lagoon, en route to Resort Centre, is most popular, with swimmable temperatures even in Winter. We look forward to returning soon....

Room Tip: This was our second stay at this resort. Any room here judging by the design to me personally are...

I stayed here with my mother and sister in a 2 bed apartment. Apartment was very nice, spacious, really nice bathroom and a small kitchen area with everything that you would need for a self catering holiday.
We had a good balcony that got the sun until lunchtime.
However, tiny pool, like a kid size pool, that didn't look very inviting, more like a hole in the ground. No problem getting sunbeds-due more so to the fact it was off-season and not very hot.
No restaurant on site-we would normally make a salad and have a few chips for lunch while on holidays, but there was no food served on site, and you are at least a 10-15 minute walk from nearest shops/restaurants/bars. There is a bar on site but it doesn't look very inviting.
We paid for wifi, 12 euro for the week, its very good, but you need a code for each device you have.
As it was off season there was no shuttle bus to the nearest centre, so a lot of walking for my mother which wasn't ideal. Taxis are cheap though, on average about 3.50 each way. We got the number 3 bus to Porta Del Carmen on one of the bad weather days, takes about 45 minutes and costs 2.80 each way.

All in all apartment was nice on it's own, but the location and services leave alot to be desired.

These are cheap, basic, clean apartments.
Great if you are an independent traveler wanting a cheap break in the sun.
There's no kids clubs, welcome meetings or organised fun by the pool type thing. Just a reception, a simple restaurant, coffee and pizza type thing. The apartments are on two sites, so you have a choice of pools, and sun loungers. Very quiet when we visited in Jan.
Just a good base to explore the island from, costa teguise is nice enough but the island holds many special places, and to miss them would be a shame. There are some great beaches off the LZ1 heading north, and el golfo has amazing restaurants to name a couple.
A car is very useful (but never hire from gold car) as the island is amazing to explore and there are some great beaches off the beaten track and great restaurants to be found hidden away.
A lot of the apartments in the older block were we stayed did not have sunny balconies. We asked to move and got a sunny ground floor spot after 3 days. The sliding patio doors are not very secure, but a bit of creative engineering with the table and a draw soon sorted that.
Pros - Cheap, clean, friendly staff, very large rooms, quiet (until the noisy lot arrived on the last night)
Cons - thin walls (you can hear the neighbours), many of them with shady balconies (i love the sun, but theres always the pool side), not much in the kitchen (but ask for more) upstairs apartment was cold at night, needed to get extra blankets.
Overall these are great value for money, you could pay a lot more for the same thing.
enjoy your stay :)

Room Tip: In the old block the sunny rooms are on the ground floor on the left as you enter, the upstairs room...
